Another second half explosion (62) for the young Jackets. As much as the coaches preach it, I don't think the team has been ready for the battles early in games from more experienced teams.

 

Enormous talent and I think Tech puts it all together by February.

UCLA looked really sloppy yesterday and Howland was rather pissed. I'm worried about Randolph Morris vs. Mata and Aboya.

 

Depends which Morris shows up, more times than not he'll be soft.

 

That's always been his problem. One day he'll come out and play like one of the best players in the nation and the next he'll play like he's never been on a basketball court before.

I thought this was interesting. Current institutions with football and basketball programs ranked in the Top 25:

 

Ohio St, F(1), B(3)

LSU, F(9), B(6)

Florida, F(4), B(1)

Wisconsin, F(10), B(7)

Georgia Tech, F(15), B(19)

Boston College, F(18), B(23)

 

Four ranked in the Top 10 in both is really surprising.

they will be SCARY come tourney time. I could easily see them in the FF.

OK. I go to Marquette, and don't know how this game will turn out, but boy oh boy are we going to be fun to watch! The fact that we are hanging with the likes of Duke is huge for the program. Dominic James, Jerel McNeal, and Wesley Matthews are growing up much faster than I thought without Steve Novak.

Dobson and UK: I have a friend from San Luis Obispo County who played ball in HS with Derrick Jasper and has been giving rave reviews for a few years. He looked good today...reminds me a little of Tayshaun Prince on defense.

Ball State loses. At home. To Chattanooga. 70-55.

 

And my optimism for another basketball team has entirely hit the skids. Can't wait to see us get annihilated by Kansas, W. Kentucky and Georgetown in a 4-day span.
