How can you be losing to the Knicks, especially after the suspensions, by 14...

Unlike Denver, the Knicks didn't really lose anybody important because of the brawl. Robinson, Collins and Jeffries are all backups so the only thing they lost was depth.

And those guys who'd otherwise not see the court at all are in there in this joke of a game by the Bulls.

Can't box out on defense, nor can they shoot. Sigh.

I'm not sure I get your point. According to ESPN.com's box score, the five Knick starters (Marbury, Crawford, Frye, Lee, Curry) have scored 67 of the 74 points so far and have played 3/4 of the minutes as well.

ETA: Yes the Knicks aren't a good team but they weren't hurt by the suspensions all that much. But that doesn't change the fact that the Bulls shouldn't be losing to them anyway.

They didn't do anything when Rose and Cato were in there. The same with James. And those three have 9 rebounds between them, nearly half of what the Bulls have as a team.

Gordon's play right now is pretty symbolic of the Bulls tonight. He's out of control, shooting horribly, and not executing at all.

Hinrich, Nocioni, and to a lesser extent, Duhon, were the most responsible for this loss tonight. Hinrich and Noc played like absolute crap tonight.

Going to lose to the Knicks. This team isn't as good as our record indicates. We still have a lot of work to do on the defensive end.

As a Knicks fan, we really aren't that bad ... we started slow but Isiah has got the team rolling lately. So losing to them isn't the biggest disaster. We beat the Jazz a few games ago :o

Yeah, the Bulls' point differential and strength of schedule indicate they're better than their record. They're also 9-2 this month. Can't win 'em all, and the Knicks are on a bit of a hot streak as Shavo suggests. They might win 35 this year. :D

While I agree we have done well this month, tonight's game shows what can happen to a jump shooting team. If we can't make our jump shots, we're in trouble. Our defense needs to be able to carry us when our offense isn't making shots. This team has a lot of good defenders. We should not be constantly giving up 100 points per game to teams.

They're not. The Bulls are giving up 95.9 PPG and their +3.9 point differential is tops in the eastern conference. I think you're overreacting to a bad game in an outstanding month for the team. I could understand the hyperbolic comments in November. But now? C'mon. They're playing great. Time to start another win streak. Enjoy it.

I just meant how Gordon was playing at that time (half-way through the 4th, maybe). I'm still not even sure Hinrich made the trip to NY.

Yikes:

chicagosports.com[/url]"]General manager John Paxson issued a statement regarding Martynas Andriuskevicius, who suffered a minor skull fracture and concussion Thursday at the Dakota Wizards' NBDL practice.

Stu Jackson, the NBA's vice president of basketball operations, is investigating the incident, as is the development league.

A team spokesman said a teammate was involved in the incident. Given the investigation, the injury doesn't appear accidental.

"Our priority is in making sure Martynas is getting excellent care from the doctors in Bismarck (N.D.)," Paxson said.

"As soon as he is given clearance to travel, we will bring him back to Chicago."

The Bulls assigned Andriuskevicius to Dakota on Dec. 11. Paxson's statement said the center is expected to recover with no long-term effects.

I heard from one report that one of Marty's teammates said something to Marty that got his attention and then the teammate punched him right in the face. Complete bush league crap.

I have a feeling Pax won't be sending too many players to the NBDL after this incident.

Dear Wayne Larrivee,

Please, please, PLEASE stop saying "coming up". The foul is not "coming up." The 3-second violation is not "coming up". They've ALREADY HAPPENED. This isn't hockey when a penalty is called but doesn't get enforced until the offending team touches the puck.

God I hate you

Thabo is awesome.

This team is really fun to watch at both ends of the court. What's really encouraging is the pulse of an offensive game from Ben Wallace.

Sounds like one of the Mizzou football radio announcers who like to call a near-interception as this: "Intercepted and dropped!"

That's a fumble, douche.

Screw the big mac. What the fans really got into was the hinkley truck race, which won some of them a free gallon of water with the purchase of a gallon of water. Intense race.

Just got back from my first game in like 9 years. What a butt kicking. Not sure where Hinrich went, but that was a great game to watch.

And there was quite a bit of booing Morrison.

Nice game.

I should know better than to question Skiles, but I really don't see the point of Duhon starting any more. He's a decent role player, but why start Hinrich and Duhon in the backcourt.

If they aren't going to start Gordon, then they should let Sefolosha start at the 2 guard. It makes more sense to me.

What a great pickup he's been.

Now THAT was one way to take my UC virginity. Hell of a fun game :)

My water truck and my bagel won their scoreboard races which just made it that much more fun.

Gordon sucks when he starts, so I guess Sef would be the only option. I'm not sure a rook is ready for a starting job, hence Duhon starts. It appears to be working anyway, so why mess with it.

As Stacey King said last night on the telecast, Duhon is a guy coaches like for his on court presence, etc. His stats don't look great, but he calms the team down when he's on the court, distributes the ball, etc.

I do like Duhon. He's a great role player.

The problems I have are that starting 2 undersized guards can create problems on D. Also, Duhon puzzles me sometimes with his shots. He always passes up open shots. It's better than jacking shots that aren't there, but it also creates problems with the offense.

Sefolosha can actually be a very solid player, maybe even a star. And he seems pretty mature to me.
