After enjoying Ben's outstanding performance yesterday afternoon, I decided to see how Gordon stacked up against some recent, popular trade-Gordon candidates. The list is broken down by player, age, 06-07 PER and 06-07 salary. Am I missing anybody?

Ray Allen, 31, 22.30, $13.22M

Ben Gordon, 23, 19.23, $3.61M

Allen Iverson, 31, 20.89, $16.45M

Jason Richardson, 26, 12.31, $8.89M

I'm very pleased Paxson has held on to Ben.

Me too. Nice comparison.

Like I said this team pisses me off like no other. They are more talented than most of the East but yet they have games like this against the Bucks. When they get up big on their opponent they let them back in the game almost everytime, and then you have games like today where they get down big, and almost always come back but usually lose. A win is a win I guess but come on, lets get some damn consistency please. Oh by the way pretty decent game by Ben Gordon today

Even if they lost against Milwaukee (on the road), they would have beat them 3 out of 4 this year. Winning 3 out of 4 against any team is good. Milwaukee (with Redd) isn't nearly as bad as their record indicates. With the way Redd was shooting in that game and the fact that it was on the road, I'm very surprised and pleased that we won. Yes, they are inconsistent, but just about every NBA team is. The Bulls are the 2nd best home team in the NBA and just tend to struggle on the road. We are still a very young team and I think we'll get better in road games as time goes on. I'm so excited about this team and its future.

gordon is more gifted offensively than mr. zero, he's stronger, faster, a better shooter, and more athletic, it's just a matter of getting consistency from him.

i feel the consistency will come with more experience. this is just the tip of the iceberg.

It would have been such a bad idea on so many levels if the Bulls would have traded Gordon for any of those guys. In any realistic potential trade, I think it would be a bad idea to trade him for just about anybody.

i think all the skiles naysayers (in regards to TT) will be eating their words come season's end. He's starting to get minutes and turning those minutes into quality playing time. I foresee him as a bigger part of the playoffs than most do

17 points in the 2nd half. And we're 18 minutes into the 2nd half.

22 point Heat lead without D-Wade and Kapono. Talk about not taking advantage of an opportunity.

I call it foreshadowing. Indications of things to come in the playoffs.

Of course you said the Bears had no chance against the Seahawks, so I think we can all pencil the Bulls in to the NBA Finals. :D

This is the first time the Bulls have been dominated to this degree all season long. There's no way this is foreshadowing.

We never lost as bad as this, but we've definitely had our few share of games where we played just as bad.

And tomorrow we go to Orlando, a team who's beat us twice this year in pretty easy fashion. Hopefully that can change.

What opportunity? The Heat's record since Wade went down is 5-2 including wins against the Cavs, Pistons, Wizards and Bulls. Blow-outs are no fun, but I've been expecting the Bulls to lose the second game at Miami ever since they beat down the Heat by 42 in Miami on opening night.

8-)

I'd be happy to be wrong. Do you honestly see this team doing damage in the playoffs?

Given home court and health, I think the Bulls can beat any team in the East in a 7-game series.

Agree. I fully expect them to win a minumum of 1 series. I guess I'd consider that "doing damage".

They're sitting at 5 right now. I don't think it's reasonable to assume home court at this point.

They have home court right now because they have a better record than the 4th seed Toronto, and they are closer to the 3 seed than losing that home court advantage over the Raptors.
