Random question. Anyone know if the Bulls are the only team to beat the Spurs, Suns and Mavericks this season?

Utah.

Lakers.

Any other Eastern Conference teams beat all of them? Plus don't forget, the Jazz and Lakers also had/have two additonal opportunities to beat those three teams.

Damn that puts a nice spin to the season. Of course we've also lost to tons of mediocre/bad teams in the West and Orlando twice.

Oh yeah. And the Bobcats.

I'm not one of PJ Brown's biggest fans on the court, but this article has made me very happy for his presence all season. Apparently, he has had a huge impact on Tyrus:

PHILADELPHIA -- Coach Scott Skiles said before Wednesday's game he hadn't ruled out starting rookie Tyrus Thomas down the stretch.

That move would come at the expense of veteran P.J. Brown, Thomas' closest friend on the Bulls. The two recently spent an off day together in Orlando along with family members.

"I've created a monster," Brown said facetiously. "This young guy is about ready to take over. But that's good. We're going to need him if we're going to make a run."

Indeed, with Andres Nocioni sidelined by plantar fasciitis in his right foot, any contributions from Thomas are welcome.

Not many occurred against the 76ers, one night after Thomas had his career-best night (23 points, nine rebounds) against the Celtics. Thomas finished with five points and four rebounds in 18 minutes and actually ceded to Brown, who turned back the clock with 11 points and seven rebounds.

If Brown would come back for the league minimum, I'd have very little problem with it. Seeing as how the Bulls will likely be drafting a power forward or center with their pick, another year of tutelage for Tyrus and the new draftee could have a big impact in their development. Brown would be a better fifth or sixth big man option off the bench than guys like Malik Allen and the likely to be departing Michael Sweetney.

I personally won't like to see him back. He would take extra minutes away from players whom are actually good. He isn't very good in this stage of his career and reminds of me of the second coming of Antonio Davis. I would rather see Malik Allen out there actually.

If you want to hire him for his presence, convince him to retire and make him an assistant coach or something...

Most teams have big men at the end of the bench who don't play much. For us, its Sweets and Allen. Brown, Thomas, and Wallace are getting the most PT. I don't see why Thomas, Wallace, other rookie (please god, let us get Horford), and Deng/Nocioni (when the Bulls decide to go small) couldn't keep PJ on the bench for a majority of the game. If he gives you 10 minutes a game over the course of the season for near league minimum and he offers great tutelage for the two youngsters, he'd be very valuable. This is contingent on the Bulls drafting a ready to play young big man, though. And I do believe that is the route they will go (McRoberts, Hansbrough, Horford if he slips), etc.

Blah, can't believe they lost to Memphis.

I still don't like Gasol. He always looks like he just rolled out of bed.

Plus, he spells Paul wrong.

Just curious:

I was thinking about Durant this morning in so much as he has probably played his final college game. Would you trade Deng, a No. 1 this year and a future No. 1 (probably in 08') to the team that wins the lottery this year in order to draft Durant?

I am not saying I would, just curious what others think.

I fully expect the knicks to win the lottery so we won't have to worry about that ;)

From your mouth to g-d's ears, my friend.

If the Bulls can't land a decent big man in the draft, they should go after Kentucky's Randolph Morris who can enter the NBA as a FA.

How can he be a free agent when he was given college eligibility back the 1st time he entered the draft?

I think because he went undrafted. That is what all the articles are saying at least.

You do know the Knicks have a better shot to be in the playoffs than win the lottery, right?
