Geez. Way to make it close Michigan. :x

That got way too close for comfort there for a minute.

I was shocked that the announcers were so comforted by the 14 point margin. I know PSU wasn't moving the ball, but all it would take is one big play to get the crowd back into it. And thats exactly what happened.

I'm still trying to figure out why PSU didn't try an onside kick with only 3 minutes left. Stupid decision IMO.

I already got a text message from a friend saying, 'Game of our lives coming.' Well its a little early to say that with Iowa next week, but man it's looking like a reality. Come Nov 18 if UM and OSU are 1 and 2 we are going to have the biggest house party evah! It will be pure chaos. OSU #1 and Michigan #2?! I need to not get my hopes up too much.

Michigan had to earn the 17 today. PSU has a good defense. It was a tight one for the UM offense.

Florida goes down.

Remaining unbeatens: Ohio State, USC (in danger of losing too), Louisville, West Virginia, Rutgers, Michigan, Boise State.

I think ND will beat USC this year. WVU and Louisville will be the game of the year. Louisville wins, they have a good chance at the national title game. I don't think WVU has the strength of schedule to make it if they win and a 1-loss team will go. I thought Penn St. would beat Michigan, but it looks like Ohio St. will just have to destroy them at the end of the year. Boise St, who cares.

So, basically...I think the NC game is OSU vs. USC/ND/Fla/Texas/WVU/Louisville......all of which are double digit wins for OSU.

Anyone else think USC hasn't looked very impressive this year? I don't get the #3 ranking.

They will lose one of the Oregon, Cal, ND games. Maybe even 2, maybe 3.

Well, at this point it is simply that they are undefeated with a better schedule then Louisville and WV..I'd put them #3 behind OSU and Michigan now-I just can't see who else would be above them right now based on their performance (even though I think USC might get beat by several teams right now)

The good thing is for the rest of the teams, if the BCS goes 1-2 OSU/Michigan, then the #3 team is pretty much the other team in the title game. This is getting excited. I am hitting up the big Michigan bar in Chicago for that OSU game ( I am NOT going anywhere near the 4-5 OSU bars in Wrigleyville)

I am all kinds of pissed right now. Pissed at Pinkel for the fake FG and running the option on 4th and 2, pissed at the defense for not forcing any turnovers and giving up all those yards to Lane, pissed at the officials for cheating us out of a 14 point margin, GAH.

We got screwed, but I mostly blame Franklin for that play. He started running towards the sideline, then came back towards the middle of the field, and he slowed up significantly. You gotta hang on to that ball and keep running full speed. Stupid play there.

Also, some of the WORST play calling I've ever seen. I don't mind the Fake FG, but don't back yourself up 5 yards before doing it. It's weird, Pinkel threw too much with Brad Smith at QB, and he runs too much with Chase Daniel under center. 4th and 2, I'm running a play to Rucker or Coffman. If I'm gonna go for it inside the 10, I'm not gonna fake, I'm gonna send my offense out there and let Daniel fire a bullet in there to someone.

I said at the beginning of the year I'd be happy to split the Texas Two-Step, but I'm really disappointed. We could've easily been 9-0 going into Nebraska. But, undefeated in college football is so hard. We gotta man up, and come out and hit these next two teams at home in the mouth. Barring a Mizzou Meltdown, we should go 10-2 at the worst, get into a very good bowl game, and finish in the top 25 to end the season.

Can Mark May please stop crusading for USC to be No. 2? He says that USC may not put teams away when up 21-0 like today, but they're a "different kind of team". Translation - they aren't good enough to put away bad teams.

It is really insane how tough the SEC is. The BCS really isn't fare to the SEC, b/c its a lot easier to go undefeated in the Big10, Pac-10, Big 12 etc. than the SEC. Don't get me wrong, I am a big 10 fan and realize how hard it is to go undefeated period, but it is just so hard in the SEC.

I will say that the SEC is the best conference, but I dont think it is that easy to go undefeated in the Big Ten. I would even go out on a limb and say that there isnt a SEC school that would go undefeated in the Big Ten this season. Even if they only played 1 out of Michigan and OSU. Iowa and Wisconsin are really tough places to play. The weather is going to become a factor, something that SEC schools dont deal with a lot. I wouldnt be surprised if both OSU and Michigan still lose this season.

They will lose one of the Oregon, Cal, ND games. Maybe even 2, maybe 3.

Luckily for USC, all 3 games are across the freeway from their campus.

I've got Cal winning. I don't think Oregon can do it, not sure about ND yet.

Since I think USC will lose to Cal, it's starting to look like the BCS title game will feature the winner of the UM/OSU game against the winner of the Louisville/WVU game.

I agree with you completely. I would give the edge to USC over ND because the game is in SoCal.

That display by Miami at the Orange Bowl against FIU is absolutely disgraceful. It would be disgraceful against any team but is there really any need to showboat against Florida FREAKING International? I mean come on. FI-EFFING-U. This isn't UF. This isn't FSU. It's 0-7 FIU from the Sun Belt conference. Like I said, I'm not condoning the actions against any team but if you're going to showboat, do it against either a good team or a rival. FIU isn't even close to being either of those. This is truly a sign of how far Miami has fallen in the past couple years. They claim they've cleaned up (or at least trying to) clean of the image of a program scarred by criminal behavior and then their players go and do this. It's downright unacceptable and completely pathetic. Any player that had serious involvement in this incident (and by that I mean attacking another player) should not only be kicked off the team but kicked out of the school as well. Same goes for FIU. There is no need for this BS to happen.

I know last night was ridiculous. May doesnt piss me off that much but they way he is doing it with that smirk is really irritating. Its like he's trying to proven something and he is so right about USC. I want to punch him.

Miami-The thing that is so stupid is after the fight they are on the sideline doing that 'miami thing dance'. Did they not realize what fools they are in doing that after the melee? If i was coach i would ban that stupid thing they do for a while too. And yeah its FIU??!! Give me a break.

If Michigan and Hart can run for 110+ against Penn State, they most definetly can run against OSU. OSU's weakness on D is their run stuffing and isnt in the same class as PSU run stuffing.

Since when did don baylor referee college football? Dudes doing the UM/PSU game.

In my opinion, he's actually a pretty good head ref. The first time I remember seeing him, it was before a game and he was walking by the student section with the other officials. The resemblance is uncanny.
