I'll actually get to watch this game. I've been out of town and haven't seen a game in a long time...even when they suck, I still miss watching them.

On a side note, I was in Florida on job interviews last week and I interviewed with Kyle Farnsworth's girlfriend's mother. I saw a picture of them together. She told me that Kyle and his girlfriend loved Chicago, the team and the fans and they miss it a lot.

Hill pitches perfect game. You heard it here first.

And somehow the Cubs still lose!

1-0 ...an error 3 BB's in the 9th thats how it would go down.

And the funny thing about it is nobody would even be shocked. It would be just another loss this year.

You're right about that. It would be just another way the CUBS blew a game. I honestly have never seen a team find so many different ways to lose. The CUBS are special indeed...

Well I'll be at this game, as my g'friend's parents are in town and are huge Braves fans. I was at Friday's game and it was pretty pathetic. Lots of Cubs fans, but nowhere near the amount that were there for the 2003 NLDS. Kerry Wood's game 1 at Turner Field is I believe my best baseball memory.

I wish Murton was starting every game in his hometown. The former Ga Tech student got a very warm reception Friday, but instead we get Pagan tonight... yuck.

Well go get 'em Hill, here's to avoiding the sweep.

Wow, I didn't realize that Smolt'z splits were that extreme this year.

Left Handers: .277/.347/.446

Right Handers: .217/.236/.343

That's the only thing I'm worried about Murton. I wish Dusty would play him against some of these guys who are extremely effective against right handers to see if he can hit them or not. Instead, we will go into next season not knowing if Murton's numbers have been artificially inflated by not playing against the toughest pitchers, or if he can come close to his season production against these pitchers.

I'm glad Izturis is back at SS. Cedeno has been brutal one moment and stellar the next.

I agree with that. I wish Izturis had a little more than a couple weeks left in the season, as he is just likely to be getting back into the flow of the game when the season ends. I would have liked to see more of an indication of what he is going to do in 2007 (which could have been partially done if he had played everyday in August and September), but the injury has really made him a question mark for how he really is after his surgery last year. The one thing I personally do not question is his defense-after the first couple of games with the Cubs where he was shaky (although not as shaky as Cedeno has been many times this season), he was great defensively the next 15 games before he went down with the injury.
