I will say, I am encouraged by the whole 2 of our next 4 opponents losing to 1-AA teams at home thing.

SIU is off this week, ndi. However, the Salukis travel to Bloomington next Saturday to take on the Hoosiers.

 

NIU should beat Ohio by 3 TD's. Hopefully Wolfe can get 200 yards, but the last time Ohio was in DeKalb was in 2003 when NIU was 7-0 at the time. Ohio's defense did a great job of stopping Michael Turner and they made Josh Haldi (NIU's QB at the time) beat them. It almost worked as they almost pulled off the upset, before PJ Fleck took over the game in the 4th quarter and in the OT to give NIU the win.

 

Hopefully the Rutgers-Illini game is as entertaining as last year's game that was at Champaign.

 

I also believe ND should be able to beat Penn State. If the game was in Happy Valley, it would more than likely be a different outcome, but I also agree that ND will pull away late and win by 10 or so.

I'm much more worried about ND beating Penn State than I am Michigan, but the best thing that could've happened to this team was being humbled somewhat against GT. I expect a well-played close game that ND wins by 7 or 10 points.

Yeah, I'd say that if Penn State loses, it'll be a tight tossup style game, or ND will run them out of South Bend. First home game, ranked opponent, QB making his first start on the road, there's a lot that works against PSU.
