I only watched the first half, but the loss of Mixon looked devastating.

 

UCLA up 7-0 in the early goings of the second quarter...the defense has looked good and Ben Olson is 10/11 so far (the incompletion was a dropped TD). Of course that was followed up by a missed FG by Justin Medlock.

I think Tennesse is just showing what is obvious to most everyone. The SEC is a level ahead of every other conference. A not considered conference contender is taking a Pac Ten team that everyone thought would be good out back for a whooping.

UCLA up 14-10 at the half. Ben Olson has looked pretty good, but has tailed off a bit in the second half. Absolutely NO running game so far. The second TD was a on a pick-6 by true freshman Alterraun Verner. UCLA's D has looked good, struggled a bit against the option.

Georgia Tech is a lot better than I realized. And so is the ND defense. Brady Quinn looked pretty solid in the 2nd half once he got some protection and Darius Walker was really good. Carl Gioia better have played his last game as ND kicker. Scary Saturday.

It wasn't a great day for B12 North coaches making their debut. Prince at KSU beat Illinois State 24-23 after ISU went for the win on a 2 point conversion.

We must have been watching different games. In any case the thing that clinched that flag was the fact that it was a quarterback getting helmet-to-helmeted. Name the last time that happened to any quarterback (even if he was running the ball) without a flag and I'll buy your Mizzou season tickets for you next year.
