We're good even if Germany and Portugal each get another before the end right?

Yes

should we remove Jones now? possible concussion... playing on yellow...

I would

Jurgen won't do it, but I'd love to see him throw Julian Green in there for JJ just to say, he's ours

So Neuer had a pretty boring day at the office and the president of Ghana just waisted three million dollars.

This is exactly how we hoped to advance going into the World Cup. Beat Ghana, draw Portugal and not get blown out by Germany and hope tiebreakers fell in our favor.

Can't wait for the knockout round

Anybody have a cool scoring matrix for the group H games?

As it relates to the US, if Algeria and South Korea win, we face Algeria. If anything else happens, we face Belgium. Scores don't matter.

Line up for Belgium today: Courtois, Vanden Borre, Van Buyten, Lombaerts, Vertonghen, Defour, Dembele, Fellaini, Mertens, Januzaj, Mirallas

More or less the B-side

Oooh, bad move ... they underestimate Algeria.

UEFA advancing teams: Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Greece, and maybe Russia

CONMEBOL advancing teams: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Uruguay

CONCACAF advancing teams: USA, Mexico, and Costa Rica

CAF advancing teams: Nigeria and maybe Algeria

AFC advancing teams: 1% chance of South Korea.

Thanks. That seemed like an historically low number for UEFA, so I looked. By quick count, UEFA only had six teams last World Cup as well, but before that: 10, 9, 10, 10, 10, and 10. So unsure if this is a fluke because of the locations of the last two (or whatever) or if the rest of the world has caught up quite a bit.

Omar, Besler, Beasley, Jones, Fab, Beckerman have all been great. Bradley good at times, would be great with normal first touch. Deuce isolated. Good effort so far.

I reiterate, Fab should be starting [expletive] at either side for this German team. Very glad he chose us.

Think about our potential back 4 in 2018 with Fab, Yedlin, Brooks, and Besler. Lots of potential with that group.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what clubs these guys move to. Obviously Fab already signed with Gladbach, which was a conservative choice before the WC. I wouldn't be surprised to see a ton offers come in for him which Gladbach could massively profit from after signing him on a free.

Also, first guy off the bench, Omar, reminded everyone he can play today too.

First group game loss since 2006 and made the knockout round now 3 out of the last 4 WC.

We need to find a way to get a seed now.

Besler should be on an EPL team soon. Yedlin I would imagine will be getting offers very soon too.

On the flip side, teams eliminated...

UEFA: Spain, Italy, England, Croatia, Portugal, Bosnia-Herzegovina and maybe Russia

CAF: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon and maybe Algeria

AFC: Australia, Japan, Iran and likely South Korea

CONMEBOL: Ecuador

CONCACAF: Honduras
