England are 0-0 in the 35th minute against Estonia. Beckham has twisted his ankle and may be subbed.

 

How bad an injury?

 

I guess it was just a mild sprain, since he's stayed on and tallied 2 assists as England now lead 3-0 in the 70th.

That's going to be fun. He's in really good form right now. He's going to just dominate MLS midfields as long as he doesn't get hacked to death.

The US is sending it's 'A' team to the Gold Cup, right?

 

Yeah. The thinking is that since the GC is our region's championship (Think Euro 2008), and that if we win we get to go to the Confederations Cup in 2009 (which means 3 good matches in South Africa), that it's better to send the A team here and the B team to Copa America.

 

However, Copa America should feature the European based players without contracts like Onyweu and Beasley, as well as guys like Feilhaber, Bradley and Nguyen. Dempsey and Bocanegra might play. Donovan might play, but he's been waffling. The MLS guys won't play in Copa.

Are they going to do the re-branding once he makes his debut? I believe I heard not only new uniforms, but new colors, as well. Anything beats green and yellow.

I think I am almost more interested in the U-20 World Cup than the Gold Cup right now. Should be a very good team, but in that group they might not even win a game. At the same time they could win the group.

should be up 2-0 with all the chances we've had this first half. overall, played well, guatamala hasn't had any real chances to speak of. hejduk is not very good, are there any other right back options for the u.s.? i want spector getting some time tonight and going forward from here.

Should be about 4-0. Dempsey plays up top very well. He seems like he moves very well and put himself into position to score very well, despite not having great pace.

 

Twellman should have finished his clear chance, as should have Beasley.

 

Hejduk sucks. Bocanegra is a calamity again. Donovan, aside from a couple nice crosses, was MIA.

I hate Hejduk, and always have. I thought we were rid of him. He's terrible. Bocanegra stinks. I've also been unimpressed by Borenstein.

 

I like Dempsey a lot. Donovan's good when he's not invisible.

The entire backline is not good. Onyewu is playing for a contract so he needs to play great.

 

Twellman can just not finish at the international level like he should.

 

Beasley looks clumsy today.

First 22 minutes were good. Since then BBTN has been more entertaining.
