Btw, how hilarious is it that the Galaxy just tried to buy Ronaldinho?

I think it's very funny.

How was MLS planning to break their own rules to make that happen?

They'd find a way.

The Barcalona star Ronladinho currently has an offer in the works that would bring him here to the Galaxy. The deal entails a €16 million playing contract along with another €16 million for his image rights.

Since his debut with the Galaxy, the soccer icon Beckham has been a financial success for the team and they believe they can do the same with Ronladinho.

However, the jaw-dropping €32 million may still not be enough to entice Ronladinho to play in the MLS. The 28 year old believes that he still able to play with the best in Euro football and is going to hold out for a Champions League team.

At the moment Ronladinho is vacationing in Brazil and a final decision is likely not to occur until after Euro 2008.

Portugal is doing a horrible job of defending crosses on free kicks. I realize that Ballack pushed off a bit, but he was still open and on Klose's goal there was a Portuguese defender within a yard or two of him.

is this game a win and advance, loser goes home match?

Yes. All games from here on out are win or go home.

Was it an entertaining match? Did anything happen after the goal to make it 3-2? I probably won't be able to watch it later, only the highlights.

I'm shocked and happy as I would rather face Germany in the finals over Portugal. Portugal again under achieves.

I don't see how losing to Germany could be seen as underachieving. Just a tough draw.

I've flipped to the Fire-Chivas game twice tonight and I've seen Chad Barrett miss an empty net when Guzan went way off his line and block a teammates shot when they were two on one against the keeper.

I hope his transfer to Norway works out and they ask him to play for their national team after three years, because I don't want him anywhere near a US kit.

Also, I'm either too lazy or not dick enough to go back and see who disagreed with me, but I was right about Ronaldo to Madrid. He just came out and said he wants it, it's his dream and now Man U needs to name their price because he wants to go.

This is a kick in the nuts for Sir Alex. He clearly wants Liverpool's titles record and a few more champions leagues to cement his place as the greatest British if not the greatest manager of all time. He also clearly built those dreams around Ronaldo. From a neutral perspective, the Glazers would be crazy not to sell him. Combine their debt, all the players they could potentially buy, the record fee he'd draw and the fact that he is a whiny brat who doesn't want to be there and it's an easy decision.

Players get hurt, players get too big of egos, players become distractions and as great as he is, he isn't worth it at this point.

On the plus side, did you see SK's goal?

Good stuff. Good stuff.

I am a Sacha Kljestan fan and it's not just the hair (though it helps).

His parents are from Croatia and he has that Croatian flair and technical ability.

He better feature this Sunday.

Since India hasn't qualified for a major tourney in decades and America isn't in Europe, I kinda have to have a bandwagon team for the Euros  and I really liked Portugal because of Ronaldo. I had them winning it all, so that probably helped too.

But now I think Germany will take the title, beating the Netherlands in the finals (Deutschland vs the Dutch, lol). Both teams have been sharp so far, and are fantastic teams.

If you could pick a "grudge" matchup in Europe, that would be the one.

Orange madness will reach unprecedented heights if that were to happen.

To me, a possible The Netherlands vs Spain semi would be the match of the tournament 8-)

Right now thats what I am thinking. Still have to beat Russia on Saturday 1st. I won't be upset should Spain some how lose on Sunday either ;-). Netherlands/Spain still would be a fun match to watch, should be the most free flowing attacking match of the Euro's.

speaking of The Netherlands, when do they play next?

Tomorrow, the quarter finals against Russia.

Russia is no joke. I think they have more than a small chance in that game. If anyone will know how to play the Dutch, it'll be Guus.
