Can honestly say I don't watch that much soccer, but have been watching a lot more this year. Watching Italy though is very frustrating with all the diving and then milking non injuries. Saying that though the match was quite enjoyable and very glad Spain came out on top. Reading the previous posts, I guess it's safe to assume this type of play is the norm for Italy?

oh yeah they are notorious for it. they're hardly the only ones who do it, but they seem to do it more frequently, and just about everyone on the team participates in the diving and faking of injuries.

so i know nothing about soccer, and generally I don't like it at all, but that game (match?) was on at the gym today, and I was pretty entertained. Unfortunately, there was no sound/close captioning, so I don't really know what was happening. My basic question, though, is who was considered the better team going in to that?
