I love the reaction of the Barcelona player at the far post of the Frank Lampard one (I believe its the mighty Puyol); who is he imploring about it? And why?

No reaction to the big Freddy Adu trade?

I don't follow the MLS at all, but it looks like Adu will get more time playing for Salt Lake than sticking with D.C. United. That's a very positive step in my book. More than likely he'll be shipped overseas comes June anyway. I'm getting the feeling that Adu is going to be not nearly as great as many US Soccer supporters had hoped.

I dunno. He's only 17. He had been playing out of position at United, yet still managed to improve every season despite playing for a coach that hated him and in a league that doesn't do any favors to techincally creative players.

I think he can be a very important player for US Soccer, provided he goes to the right Euro league and avoids injury. Put him on the senior national team right now, and he's probably our 2nd most creative player after Dempsey.

It didn't appear to hold up when I looked up the statistics, but whenever I'd see DC play it seemed Adu was just a foul magnet. It looked like he could put the ball past anyone, but everyone would just put a body on him and take the free kick instead.

It seemed to me that he and Dempsey were two of the more fouled players in MLS. Creative players aren't protected like they should be by the awful MLS refs.

Porto v Chelsea

Barcelona v Liverpool

Real Madrid v Bayern Munich

Inter Milan v Valencia

Thanks for posting that Marco, I completely forgot the draw was today. This stage of the champions league is amazing. Manchester United definitely got the best draw with Lille.

Barca v. Liverpool-2 clubs with themost tradition and success in the world.

Roma v. Lyon-should be a great match.

Celtic-AC Milan-should be good. Milan has been down because of the match fixing scandal and are doing terrible in Serie A. Celtic has dominated the SPL and had the stunning goal to beat Man U to advance through the group stage of the champions league.

Last but not least, Chelsea v. Porto. The draw could've been much worse for Chelsea, they easily could have faced Madrid, Inter, or Roma. Of course, there's the sub plot of Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, returning to face his old team, Porto. He won the Champions League with them in 2004.

I'm really looking forward to these games.

I'm a Valencia follower, and Inter's a nasty draw, the only benefit being the home leg being second. I have issues with Milan being in the tournament at all, too, after the affair of the season, so I'd love to see Celtic knock them out.

I'm kind of annoyed that Roma drew Lyon, because now it likely won't be shown over here. I was hoping for an EPL team.

Also, Adu better only be in MLS for another half-season.

I am hoping PSV or Ajax will show some interest in him.

Really?

I would think a Spanish league side would be a better fit.

I'm still a little biased towards Holland for young players. I just don't really want to see him to England or Germany.

Here's a few more amazing goals from this weekend.

Every Frenchmen's favorite pillow with a monster goal, even more amazing considering he's 6'4.

Super Frankie Lampard with a stunner, down 2-1 with 10 minutes left in Sunday's match.

And the best striker in the EPL, Didier Drogba helps Chelsea pick up 3 points on a Manchester United team who lost to West Ham on Sunday.

I'll agree with you there. Germany would be the worst fit. England would be bad, considering he's still pretty slight, and would take a beating over there.

BTW, how is Beasley doing in the EPL? I haven't read anything on him.

He's been injured for a while I think. I'll check that and get back to you.

I think that's right, I haven't seen his name anywhere this season.

His form has been terrible for the past 2 years anyway. He's like a shell of his former self.

If only that goal against Italy had counted...

Drogba's goal was ridiculous, as well as heartbreaking for my Everton squad.
