Local reports say Kljestan came on as a sub.

How did he look?

I thought he looked pretty good at times. Had a great cross on the Bradley goal that was called back for being offsides.

Apparently Bradley gave a goodbye speech after the Brasil match last night. He's done as USMNT manager*

*secondhand info from an inside source. He's going to get the Villa job.

Yesterday on the BBC they were incredulous that Bradley's name had been even mentioned as an option for the Villa job.

"He's never even met Randy Lerner!"

"Sure he's had success coaching the USA, but what does he know about being in charge of a club in England? Nothing!"

To be honest, I'm dubious. He's set up to fail. No money, high expectations from your supporters plus being the first American manager in Europe (the Premiership no less)? That's a potential for disaster.

The EPL season is finally here. I'm pulling for Blackpool to stay up. A stadium that holds only 12,000 and a great cinderella story of each reaching the premier league. They came out today and thump the [expletive] out of Wigan 4-0 away. Fantastic.

So is Mark Hughes going to have to be manager number 4 that doesn't know Clint Dempsey is his best attacking player until about 3-4 games in or was there another reason he was a sub today?

I give Hughes 4 games before he realizes Clint is their best player and ditches the traditional winger setup he prefers.

The first half of Tottenham-Man City was ridiculously entertaining. Tottenham was so unlucky not to score and on a different day, they could have put three or four in just in the first 45 minutes. Tottenham deserved to win but ended up with only a draw.

Blatter is talking about eliminating ties from the WC in the future. Not exactly sure how I feel about that, but understand the thought process behind it.

Nevada Smith's is awesome. I concur with the thoughts on the Spurs-Man City game. I couldn't believe Spurs didn't get a goal in the first half. I think we saw the two teams that'll battle for the final champions league spot again.

It seemed like there were 3 Joe Harts in the first half of that game.

City-Spurs was really really fantastic in the first half. Off to Chatham Tap here in town for Liverpool-Arsenal. YNWA.
