More about the Fire here along with Galaxy rumor:

Landon departure looking more likely:

http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives/2010/07/friday-free-kicks.html

Real Salt Lake owner Dave Checketts let spill in a recent interview that the Los Angeles Galaxy are signing Ronaldinho. The subject of several transfer rumors in recent days, Ronaldinho was supposedly returning to AC Milan, but with the fresh Galaxy rumor, you wonder whether Ronaldinho is ready to re-unite with good friend David Beckham and spend some time in LA

If Ronaldinho comes, Landon goes.

That would be the best signing MLS has ever made. Is Dallas the redheaded step child of MLS? Blanco in Dallas would have been huge way back when.

-If MLS sell Landon, they're going to sell him during the winter transfer window, methinks.

-Blanco signed with some 2nd division Mexican side, so he won't be coming back to Chicago. I would also like to 2nd the "Nery Castillo is a douche" opinion. The Fire are not well run, at all. Also, Seattle might deal Freddy Ljunberg to RBNY.

-USSF isn't even close to resigning Bradley. Gulati hasn't even sat down to meet with him stateside yet. That happens next week.

-Eddie Johnson trying to recruit Bradley is about the funniest ish ever.

-Freddy Adu is back at Aris in Greece after Benfica and Aris decided to piss around about the terms of his loan and waste 3 weeks of preseason for him.

-MLS has been really active in the rumor mill, which is a welcome change, even if it's for pst-prime Euro stars, at least it's guys like Henry and Ronaldinho instead of like Youri Djorkaeff.

Nery Castillo is the DP.

By the way, I'm finally watching the 30 for 30 special The Two Escobars. Very well done.

The overpaid, one year older, injury prone, less tough version of Clint Dempsey?

So I guess the benefit of going to Liverpool from Fulham is that you get to pay similar players more money to perform worse?

So apparently it's down to Besiktas and Ajax for Jozy. Ajax wants a loan, Besiktas will buy and Villarreal wants to sell, not loan.

Also, Yura Movsisyan scored in Randers' league opener.

I remember Wolf's report after the US-Holland friendly. Please be Ajax, please, please, please.

For some reason ESPN has been having coverage on ESPN2 and ESPNUof the U-20 Women's World Cup. I hope this is a sign that they're also going to give some coverage to the Men's youth teams as well.

I think recently they gave some coverage to a U-20 or U-17 World Cup. Maybe it was in 2009 before the Confederations Cup...

I think both 2007 and 2009 for the U-20 World Cup.

I'm not sure if any of the women's games have been live on ESPN/2 or just replays, but ESPNU coverage is fine by me. ESPN is making a big push for ESPNU (now in HD, moving college football games previously on ESPN Classic to ESPNU, adding the 1 hour of College Gameday to ESPNU, etc.). It'll be a nice place to have the youth teams.

Today's game between the US and South Korea was live. Their push of ESPNU is interesting, Directv now has it in the middle of the ESPN channels and moved Classic elsewhere.

Roberto Mancini wants Donovan.

I seriously hope not. That's the kind of club that would lose you in the shuffle if you aren't on form all the time. Too many similar player and ownership too willing to pay to replace you.

Everton, please.

Not a chance in hell he goes to Citeh.

Chuck D wore the arm band and found some net today. Don't know who they played. Hopefully someone somewhere was rolling some tape.
