If it were possible, I'd like to trade one of our glut of central mids to Mexico for one of their attackers. Chicharito flanked by Dos Santos and Vela are going to be a handful next year at the Gold Cup.

The Blackpool honeymoon is officially over.

I'm still pulling for them. I think they can avoid the drop, but they're aggressive style is definitely going to lend them to have ass whippings like they got today at the Emirates.

They were trying to play football until that questionable PK and red.

Agreed. It should have been 1-1 at that point but that guy somehow missed that header.

Holden went 90 again. Kljestan scored the opener for Anderlecht and went 90. Bradley went 90. Jermaine Jones went 90. Boca went 90.

Here's Kljestan's goal from a great cross on the goal line:

Nice positioning by him (and dreadful marking too)

Best player for Fulham through 60 minutes: Clint Dempsey

First Fulham player subbed: Clint Dempsey

F Mark Hughes.

And yeah, Newcastle just pissed all over Villa today. Good on them.

F Mark Hughes.

It was so glaringly obvious that hopefully he learned his lesson.

I know Clint is a pretty atypical kind of player, you can't always see where he fits in a 4-4-2 because he isn't a classic winger and he isn't a target man, but seriously this has happened 3 times now. Figure it out.

It's funny because I thought today Hughes deployed him smartly in the hole as 2nd striker behind Zamora, but yet he was given license to roam and create, and he did that very well. The ball he played to Etuhu in the 1st half was brilliant.

I'm hoping it was just Hughes wanting to give the new signing a run out and not because Hughes doesn't rate Dempsey.

Holden has gone 90 in both of Bolton's games and Coyle raved after the game this weekend about his motor and tenacity.

If he keeps it up, it will officially move me out of Bob's camp. He's never going to abandon the 4-4-2 and our best XI is clearly an amorphous 4-2-3-1/4-3-3

--------Bradley------Jones---------

Donovan-----Holden-----Dempsey

-------------Altidore---------------

It'd be more of a diamond middle with Donovan and Dempsey free to roam and move up or track back into the midfield. We've got the wide midfielders with the intelligence and scoring ability to pull it off and if it's not Holden it could be one of the Feilhaber, Torres, Kljestan group.

Bradley meeting the Sunil this week to discuss the future.

Thursday, apparently.

Here's how it's going to go.

Sunil: Got a job yet, Bob?

Bob: Nope. Got a coach yet?

Sunil: Nope.

Bob: Ok. See you at the Gold Cup then.

Tottenham looked pretty good today. Glad to see them make the group stage.

Draw is tomorrow morning.

How about playing for the U.S. in the 2014 World Cup?

“It would be an honor,” Mwanga said. “Playing for the U.S. in a World Cup would be something I would enjoy. I don’t know what’s going to happen. For now, I’m focused in on helping the Union. To be a member of the U.S. for the World Cup is something I’ve thought about a lot.”

If we snap up Najar, this year's rookie class of Tim Ream, Andy Najar, Danny Mwanga and Sean Johnson could be the deepest for the National Team, ever.

Tottenham didn't get an easy draw with Inter, Bremen and FC Twente. The other three English teams should all roll through, though.
