Ok...Zambrano, the lone bright spot of the season, takes on Houston and Andy Pettite.

 

We'll probably lose because we usually score negative runs against a left-hander. Zambrano gives us a chance.

So the Cubs are winless on Thursdays through half the season so far. I wonder if they have ever gone winless on a particular day throughout the entire season.

 

Anyways, it's something to shoot for.

so basically I can't watch Z! pitch because I'm playing golf instead :(

 

I guess I have to record this. This will be the first game I've recorded since the disasterous game against the Mets with hawkins pitching and such.

 

So yeah, something is bound to go horrendously bad:

 

the cubs will show up and play.

Well, I have said it before, it doesn't look good. At least the Cubs are consistent. :x

 

And as Fred has stated before,"Oh ye of little faith." I guess so. But I have this Zambrano jersey, which I will get out and wear while watching. I also have this Cubs clock, and I'll turn on the neon.

 

I'll wear my Cubs hat to work. I'll get stares and laughs. But I don't care about that, really.

 

I enjoy Fred's stats, IPT and Derwoods sarcasm, also everyone's jokes. At least you guys still have a sense of humor.

 

Sigh. Time to leave for work. Once more into the heat. Our local high was 104 yesterday.

I was supposed to play golf this morning in NW Indiana but we got rained out. Basically I woke up at 4:30 and drove 4 hours for nothing. The one positive is I did not have to go to the office today and can watch Z dominate. 8)

Why not? They're finally playing good baseball and are only 5 back of the WC lead in a really weak NL.
