The Saints traded Donte Stallworth to the Eagles for Mark Simoneau and a conditional fourth round pick which will be a third if the Eagles can sign Stallworth to an extension.

Link.

Vance, you are now the 2nd best WR in Louisiana. Drew Brees has to be hating this move.

I actually like this move for both clubs. The Saints are deep at one position and that is WR, and they desparately need help stopping the run...well and the pass for that matter. The D is lacking. Stallworth had slipped to #3 on the depth chart per my understanding behind Horn and Devry Henderson. I follow the Saints (proximity) and the Colts (father's family lives in Indianapolis); I believe this to be a positive for the Saints.

I don't think this is a good move for the Saints at all. Devry, while I like him being from LSU, is just not a legitimate #2 receiver. The Saints needed help at linebacker, but trading Stallworth wasn't a good idea. This is more a result of Donte falling out of favor with Payton than anything else.

Woohoo. Titans just signed an older version of our current starting quarterback, Kerry Collins. Can't say I understand this move at all, let Billy Volek play till we're out of it and then put in Vince. I can't figure how Collins will help this year.

At least you didn't sign Jeff George like the Raiders just did :D

Brilliant move by my Raiders. #-o

It could come down to Jeff George and Kerry Collins in the battle for the #1 pick. Of course, Volek and Brooks is just as epic a battle. Jets fans, I didn't forget about you either. Your general talent sucks too.

Ted Ginn a Titan. =P~

Do we know why Stallworth fell out of favor?

10k, are you ready for the thursday night game? It'll be just like the old days in the AFC west. Granted it's pre season but I always enjoyed the Seahawk - Raider games.

Personally, I want to see Quinn in New York. Please suck a lot, Jets.

SUCK! SUCK! SUCK!

I agree, if the Jets suck for another 10 years it won't bring a tear to my eyes.

Thank goodness Brett Favre didn't retire. :D

It's only preseason...

right?

True. Everyone knows Favre is a good QB.

The only thing I keep wondering is, how much longer is Aaron Rogers & his agent going to put up with watching the old career waste away on the bench while Favre decides which year he should retire in?

My guess is, if Favre comes back next year Rogers will be asking for a trade.

I don't really watch much of the preseason and won't get to watch this game because I have to work. As long as Aaron Brooks plays horribly, I don't care about the result. It is too bad that Seattle had to move to the NFC though because that was always a heated rivalry.

Great rivalry on one hand, easy division on the other. I'll take the easy division. Great memories though.

I wouldn't blame Rodgers in that case. Next year will be his 3rd year in the league and basically 99.9% of QB's drafted in the 1st round are starting by the 3rd year. I think he'll be more than ready to make an impact starting next year as well. It will be interesting to see what happens.

True. I'd take that NFC west schedule any time over the Raiders rivalry. Of course, eventually it might become the toughest division in football. But right now the Hawks are reaping massive benefits, being arguably the best team in the NFC *AND* having several softie games on their schedule to keep them fresh. It's a very nice situation in Seattle these days.

It's about time! I've been waiting since Ground Chuck, Steve Largent, Zorn and the original Curt Warner for them to get this far. Between the Raiders and the Broncos, it's been a hard road. Like I said great memories, but I like seeing the Seahawks in the playoffs.

Injury problems early in his career and dropped passes since then.

Eagles released Todd Pinkston and brought back Jay Feely.

Not to be nitpicky but they signed A.J. Feeley the QB. Not Jay the kicker, at least not that I've heard.
