Wouldn't it be perfect if this team just tanked to get Dusty fired. Walker can't like him. Murton can't like him. All the youngsters are thrown under the bus.

The superstars can't like him (Lee and Aram, because he starts such crappy lineups).

the only people that have to like Dusty are Neifi, Jose Macias, Juan Pierre, and Jockstrap.

As len pointed out before commercial break, Dempster started the inning taking a line drive off his hip. Might be that affected his pitching.

The Tribune CO. can do what the Knicks just did. Fire Dusty, blame Hendry for this pathethic situation, put him in the dugout next season and give him just that season alone to turn it around.

Alright watching the Cubs lose again is hard enough. But, having to listen to the Brewers announcers defend Dusty the whole night is horrible. They just keep saying none of this is his fault.

I left in the 8th inning thinking we lost, on the train ride home I checked my cell phone and saw that we took the lead 5-4. I got home just in time to see the brewers tie the game. Blah! I'm glad I left!

I'm sick of the excuses. Dempster's been getting way too many of them lately.

Yeah. Different pitchers can handle different pitch counts. I think it's been shown that Z can handle a large amount of pitches in a game, probably the most of the Cubs staff. I wouldn't pitch Prior and certainly not Maddux or Marshall that high. But Z is one of those pitchers that doesn't suffer from going deep into games.

How do you know that? Injuries suffered from taking a pitcher too deep often don't show up until a significant amount of time has passed - months or even years.

Prior and Wood made it through 03 just fine...

Can somebody post a link to the Hendry column?

you really don't want to read it. It's gonna make you want to take a bat to Hendry and Baker's head.

I want Hendry as my boss! I wouldn't even show up and feel my job was secure.

boos were raining down hard

Loudest booing I've ever heard for the home team. God I hate that. I can still hear angry yelling.

Not Dempster's fault he never gets to pitch or that line drive off his hip.

Some kinda disturbance behind home plate??? I hear lots of yelling and howling.

Fight in the stands apparently. What a joke.

I saw one of those when I went to Wrigley on the last homestand.
