Are the White Sox a blessed team?

No really....How else do you explain game winning hits from players like Cintron, Uribe and the like? Or how about Podsednick hitting only his second HR of the season for a grand slam. Or Buerlie giving up 7 first inning runs a few weeks ago but still winning the game? As much as it pains me to admit it, they do have a great team. But how do we explain how every possible action on the field seems to go there way? They don't get hurt, they get clutch hits out of weak hitters and they somehow find a way to win a game even though they only manage one hit.......meanwhile, we are left with the exact opposite on the north side, a team that can do absolutely, positively nothing right.

The only thing they are blessed with is a GM that's made some fairly clever moves and taken a couple risks that worked out.

They are a very well constructed team with a pitching staff that stays healthy and is very effective, and an offense that has 2 absolute mashers in the middle, along with Dye, who's really playing well.

They were blessed last year, but so is pretty much every team that wins the world series. You need to be lucky to win it all.

Down 9-1, the Sox get 7 RBI in two innings from a guy who had only 30 in 74 games before tonight.....two out bottom of the 9th and they get a grand slam to tie it. You tell me whether they are blessed or not.

Oh, and Taguchi just scored more runs than the Cubs did in an entire weekend...

Boy it sucks to be a Cubs fan

Great. A grand slam in all 3 games. At least the Tigers keep winning. I think the Sox must be stealing the Astros signs as well??

You are rooting for the Astros?

There's no way in hell we have any shot at the playoffs. Might as well cut our losses and root for the Sox to lose. I don't think Houston will be in October either, so I might as well root for the Sox to lose.

Amazing. There is no way a team should get grand slams in 3 straight games. Either the white sox are incredibly lucky, or god really loves them

Or they really are stealing signs. :P :D

These things keep conspiracy theorists in business.

Maybe they're just very good.

It is possible.

They ARE very good. But the sheer ways in which they win sometimes (Podsednik AND Dye Game 2 WS, Pierzynski Game 2 ALCS, Podsednik GS last weekend, Boston chokes Game 3 ALDS, Graffanino Game 2 ALDS) is enough to make one wonder.

You don't win a game in which you're one-hit without being lucky. Every single thing goes the White Sox way. Sure, good teams might make their own luck, but this is ridiculous.

When that 1 hit is a HR and coupled with great pitching, yes you do. Good teams win games.
