I'd just settle for the Cards being above average rather than world beaters, with the Cubs being really good.

They both have sucked in the past, and will do so again (maybe not at the same time, though). Unfortunately for Cubs (and their fans), the Cardinals are usually only down for a few years at a time when it occurs.
