HAHAHAHAHA. Awesome picture. I think Rusch may have tripled in size since then.

finally a good pitcher. cubs' offense will come back to life. cincy would be better served calling up a minor leaguer to pitch to the cubs.

I've asked several times but don't think anyone (*cough*FredHornkhol*cough*) has answered: What is our record on WGN this year?

Holy crap...that picture of Glendon seriously freaked me out! Is there a skinny Ponson pic somewhere out there too?

Hornkhol's been missing for like 3 days I think. I'm a little worried

Why the hell is Glendon Rusch starting? Stupid. Just stupid.

Who do you have in mind?

Hill, Guzman, Marmol, me, you. Seriously, Glendon sucks and everyone knows that he sucks. While Hill has sucked at the major league level, there's the chance that he might pitch well. Gooz might pitch well. Marmol might pitch well. With Glendon, you know what you're getting - a crappy pitcher. It's stupid to trot him out there instead of a pitcher that hasn't proven to be a bad starter.

Marmol is pitching Sunday and Hill and Guzman can't make it out of the 3rd inning. Glendon last start was very good vs. the Cards. He's your only choice. When has either Hill and Guzman looked even remotely comfortable on the ML level. Hill looks like a deer in the head lights every time he takes the mound.

Um, very good? He gave up 3 runs in 5 innings. That's not very good. That's not good. That's not average. That's bad.

Marmol is pitching Sunday? I hadn't heard that, where did you see that?

EDIT: And I don't disagree with you on Hill - he has been horrible in the bulk of his starts. But, he still hasn't really had too much of an opportunity. Rusch has had what, 10 years of opportunities to prove himself? While I think that people WAY overrate Hill, I'd much rather see him start than Rusch.

Marmol MAY pitch Sunday if Wood is bumped. But he hasn't been yet. Nonetheless, they are probably saving him for that.

Meanwhile, at least putting Hill or Guzman out there helps develop them. I'd rather see Hill give up 3 runs in 5 innings than Rusch.

Marmol is taking Wood's spot on Sunday. Look at today Suntimes and Trib. Hill and Guzman can't pitch stikes and against the Reds they won't make it out of the first couple of innings.

Actually, that's not correct. They're assuming he would take that spot, if Wood misses that start, which hasn't been announced, and may not happen.

Wood is not going to start on Sunday you can book it. The guy is seeing a the doctor about his arm as we speak. Murmol will start on Sunday.

Except Hill won't give up 3 runs in 5 innings. He'll give up 6 runs in 2 innings.
