barrett punches the biggest bleep-hole in all of baseball and then the sox hit a grand slam.

pierzysnki definitely had it coming (he probably didn't deserve it there, though), but i would just like to say that the cubs are a pitiful, joke of a team. murton could punch out ozzie guillen, and it wouldn't change the cubs from being a pathetic bunch of losers who are 1/8th the team the white sox are. every time they show that highlight of barrett punching AJ, remember that the white sox will be a serious threat for the world series in october, and the cubs will be done in july, if not earlier.

sorry. this team is just sickening.

I really do hope someone throws a punch at Guillen next. I don't care. Season's over. Knock that bastard's teeth out for all I care.

Story already up on the Sun-Times website.

"As Pierzynski went back to the dugout, he raised his hands in the air while a soldout crowd at U.S. Cellular Field roared. He slapped hands with his teammates."

Z better put one right in AJ Eyechart's ribs first time he comes to the plate tomorrow.

If anyone's getting hit it's a Cub. Pierzynski shouldn't have even been ejected, he did nothing wrong, and if you think he did than you don't know baseball.

Hard to take offense over someone raising his hands when Zambrano acts like a fool after every strikeout.

I actually agree with much of what he said.

It's hard to get upset over someone slapping home plate when they score when Zambrano dances around whenever he strikes someone out

Is there another Zambrano on the team that does a dance every time he strikes somebody out? The Zambrano haters are as bad as the Zambrano apologists.

And that guy is blatantly a troll.

It's sad the only thing to look foward to is hoping Ozzie or some other Sox player gets hit by a Cub (Ozzie is keeping AJ out of the line-up tommorow I heard).

I thought the Sox were teased as being the "Trailer Trash" fans?

They are. Trust me, I'll hear more racial slurs and gay epithets in my time out tonight then you'll probably hear in your entire lifetime. Somebody finally snapping and popping some of the trailer trash in the face does not condemn that person to being trailer trash.

whatever. it doesn't change the fact that the white sox are the champs, and they play like the champs. the cubs... i don't even know what they play like, but it's embarrassing.

i'm at the point where i'm about ready to root against the cubs in the hopes that something will change.

What the White Sox play like has no bearing on how the Cubs play. I don't see the relevance. The Cubs play is embarrassing whether the Sox are good or whether they don't even exist.

I've been doing that for a while now.

I'm dissapointed we won the Nationals series. There was a hope if we got swept by them and the Sox, some change might be made.

I'm not a Z hater, I love Z. I'm just saying that in my opinion, dancing around when you strike someone out is just as much showing up as slapping home after an exciting sac fly run.

I'd rather take the classy route. That message can be even more powerful.

No, Z better NOT do that. After today's incident, undoubtedly warnings will be issued in advance to both teams before the game even begins. If Z hits him, he's ejected immediately and possibly suspended. That's the last thing the Cubs need now.

Cubs go down 14-0, Ohman plunks one in Thome's chest injuring him for season, Sox season down toilet, cubs fans do a pseudo rejoicing.

That would be terrible. Thome was a Cubs fan growing up and a classy guy. Now THAT would be classless. If you're going to have one of your crap pitchers hit someone, have them hit Pearzitski or Ozzie. Yeah have him throw it in the dugout and say it was a wild pitch. .

Personally, Ozzie is my favorite manager. He speaks the truth, is extremely focused on every moment of the game, and gets great results by optimizing the situations for his players. He does exactly what many are clamoring for here - backs his players when deserved and lashes them when deserved. Heck, he's a better advocate of what ails the friggin' Cubs then anyone on our side of the ledger. He's exactly the type of manager I was hoping for at this point in the Baylor fiasco.

I've given up hope on change being made during the season. I just don't think Hendry has the balls to fire Dusty. I think if anything that Dusty will not be resigned but unfortunately, I don't see him getting fired.

Who cares? The team doesn't have the heart to hit a batter.

Correction: This team doesn't have the heart to hit a baseball.
