Our lineup today looked like a AAA team, its pothetic, theres no power or anyone in there thats scary, Burhle went right after us because he knows our offense blows.. Perez,Hairston, and Blanco..woah watch out for those guys..Im so sick perez and hairston, please dump them, even though they wanted to go with the righty lefty matchup i still rather have seen barret behind the plate even though he dosent have the defense blanco has, and i still would put a mabry or jones eventhough they have a bad history agasint burhle, but in the hell are those 3 guys going to do? we got 2 freakin hits today our bench is pothetic dusty blows, and i dont know why our GM hasnt done anything, we have a very deep farm system, and what, the 2 or 3rd most money in all of baseball and thats what we get in the offseason, this is pothetic btw felix pie hit another home run yesterday but theyll just keep him down there till 2012

As I posted in the game thread...

The "others" have five guys batting over .300. We have none.

The "others" have nobody batting under .243. We have 4.

Do the math.

If I hear Ron Santo (and I love him to death, like all of us likely do) say one more time, "I have a good feeling about today's game", or Jim Hendry say "This team (the Cubs) has talent", or Dusty "We're just not getting any breaks"...I think I'm going to barf all over my authentic Ryne Sandberg jersey. Why is this tolerated? I call for a boycott of the Cubs: the games, the merchandise, everything. Until the fans show their disgust, the team will keep all these horrible players that will never produce. Pathetic doesn't cover it...I don't know what word does, but this team is horrid.

It takes a special kind of talent to only have 4 90+ win seasons in the past 50 years.

Greeeaaaaaaaatttttt! If 2006 wasn't bad enough, you gotta bring up the last 50 years now too. :P

Dude, don't drag Ron Santo into Hendry and Baker's bucket of suck. He's just trying to stay sane like the rest of us would if we were forced to witness this abomination on a daily basis.

What's more pathetic is that pre season, on paper, our team looked halfway decent... not terrible... it just makes it feel like a total waste.

Cmon Cubs... It's not even July and we're talking next year already... sheesh. Why am I Cubs fan?!?!? gah...

"We faced a buzz saw today," Walker said of Buehrle. "I think you've got to give him a lot of credit."

That's happened a lot lately Todd. They all look like buzz saws against us.

With 5 out of 8 everyday position players batting right handed. So much for right/left splits Dusty.

If you took Murton's numbers out of the equation, it's much worse.

Well said Chip. I also tip my cap to:

Chris Capuano

Brad Hallsey

Zach Duke

Bronson Arroyo

EVERY OTHER PITCHER IN THE NL EXCEPT AARON HARRANG

That is the one thing that I have heard far too much over the past few seasons.

No, I do not have to tip my cap to a garbage pitcher because the Cubs' offense sucks.

I think Halsey is in the AL. He's an A I'm pretty sure. But Clay Hensley gets a tip of the cap.

We had to tip our caps to Halsey last year.
