I just can't see Baker calling for a bunt. No way! I think Neifi somehow forget there were 2 outs. That's the only thing I can possibly think of that makes any sense, and it's still stupid.

Actually, yeah. I think it does. Jones' plays were stupid, but at least they were reaction-type menal errors. Perez actually thought bunting was a good idea, which makes it worse. Perez had time to consider it and then actually did it.

 

Not that what Jones did is excusable, because it's still pretty stupid. This is just incomprehensibly dumb.

That brings a tear to my eye. We haven't seen that since the sweep of the Cardinals when our hopes were yet to be dashed, and Derrek Lee sat gloriously atop first base.

Actually I put that picture up for the Marlins game that we lost as well because there was a sweep possibility.

 

Missed it because I was at the game. And that game uber sucked.

 

In fact I'm pretty sure that was right around the time when the team started slipping, and I can only blame myself and my friends for jinxing them.
