Here's to another win. Just another one. Play basic simple baseball. No more, no less.

Oops, Jacque Jones was just doubled off ending a rally.

60% chance of rain tonight with possible thunderstorms.

Are we looking at a doubleheader tommorrow ??

:D the perfect thank you from mother nature to NSBB for being such a great site, and then the baseball gods could arrange a sweep for us.

I like Derwood's better. Those pesky Devil Rays are hot on our heels.

We'll see about the radar. Things are moving quickly right now and it doesn't look all that bad for later tonight.

If they get the game in uninterrupted, it'll be interesting to see how Dusty handles the bullpen with Wood going tomorrow. That's probably one of the main reasons why Dusty left Z in there yesterday.

Cubs might knock around Day pretty good tonight. In 2003, the Cubs scored 7 earned runs off Day in 10 innings. His only appearance vs. the cubs since then was last year. He didn't give up a run in an inning of relief.

What kind of Cubs tat did you get and where did you put it? Just curious...

It is a little distorted cuz my 6 yr old took the pic and it is swollen from just getting it yesterday, but it is the Cubs C with a baseball in the middle; bricks and ivy on the top and bottom of the stitches, and a 23 in the middle.

Interestingly, I proposed to my wife the day that Neifi won the game for the Giants, the day after Moises hit a HR to win it for us in extras. Crazy couple of days.

Cool. I met my Wife in the bleachers. Couldn't marry anyone that wasn't a Cubs fan and that didn't like baseball. My Wife pretty much knows that I'm a model husband from October thru the start of April, but during baseball season it's all about the Cubs.

Marshall will baffle the Nats tonight. I'm looking for three consecutive team shutouts over the Nats to spark a turn-around for the season.

I told my wife I had loved the Cubs for 20 years and if I could love her as long, we would be okay. She has been really cool about it all and for our first Christmas together she got me a Ryno autographed jersey to go with my bat, ball and card and BUILT me a shadow box to hold it all. Very cool.

And we finish the season at .500.

I don't even want that, I'd rather we tank the season and have Dusty fired. I don't want him coming out smelling like roses because the team banded together and overachieved.

Some of you fans amaze me. You are hoping that the Cubs tank the season? Sorry, I never like to see teams give up on season. We have been doing that far too long. losing breeds losing with or without Dusty.

It's not hard to grasp. If the Cubs aren't going to be successful, it'd be best for them to be horrible so the appropriate front office changes are more likely to be made, in order for them be successful in the future.

Just in case anyone was wondering..... the CUBS' magic numbers are:

St. Louis 132
Cincinnati 131
Houston 129
Milwaukee 128
Pittsburgh 120
