So let me see, he hits, he's relatively healthy...but he's still a bum. Go figure.

you call .217 hitting?

.800 OPS hitting?

.327 lifetime OBP?

has only played in 145 games twice in 2001 and 2004.

not worth it.

First of all, you talk as if an .800 OPS is terrible. It isn't. And that's not discounting the fact that he came up to the majors at a very young age and struggled early. As far as your 145 game argument goes, not only are you wrong, but it's completely arbitrary. He's surpassed 145 games in 2001, 2003 and 2004. But why set the limit at 145? Why not set it at 140 games? If so, he surpassed the mark 4 seasons in a row prior to last year. The fact that you can come up with some magical number and use it as some sort of "proof" that Aramis isn't up to snuff doesn't impress me. That's a fools game.

Jim Hendry spent, what, about $27M just to sure up the 8th inning, right? Well, does Dusty go with Howry/Eyre in the 8th, or does Z continue? Remember what happened to Maddux?

Yeah, but that was the 9th, not the 8th.

No. Maddux started losing it in the 8th and gave up a run that inning. Piazza's bomb would have only tied the game in the 9th. Maybe its no big deal, but at the kind of clip the Cubs are on, every little run is relevant.

But that could be put on Jacque's crappy throw as much as anything else.

I go with Howry/Eyre here, personally.

Phiting Phils catch Milky 2-2 in the 7th

12-3 Giants over Stros in the 5th

7-0 Pitt over Cincy in the 7th

Meets up 3-2 in the 6th. That bad man will be in on deck circle.

BBTN guys saying Springer threw up around Barry's head. It hit the back of Barry's shoulder.

Harold Brains Reynolds says that Springer wasnt throwing at Barry. Well, first pitch was behind Barry. Next couple were clearly inside, with one hitting the end of the bat. Finally, Springer drilled him.

NEWSFLASH: Reynolds is an idiot.
