He's making things up.

 

Perhaps Pete is the one who told Hendry that Prior has, what was it, "no significant tearage"?

 

Afterall, it wouldn't be surprising that a media type scooped the Cubs on a Prior injury...

Or they created the buzz and Prior's really ok.
