Seriously, when your Sox or Cardinal "friends" mock the Cubs, how can you defend them?

I just start crying and then make them buy me beer.

I should have thought of that. I killed mine.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I predict a 25-game winning streak now that Barrett has shown some FIRE! and INTENSITY!

That's the kind of clubhouse leader this team needs.

What happened?

He and roberts had some words after roberts scored. Resulted in warnings.

Didn't Barrett do the same thing in 2004 with the Astros' and that eneded up firing up the 'Stros to the playoffs? You would think he'd learn.

I'm pretty sure the Cubs choking, and Dusty being an awful manager is the reason we didn't make the playoffs that year.

Blaming Barrett is about the dumbest thing I've heard.

I'm not blaming barrett, but that game was a turning point for the Astros. I didn't say that's why the Cubs lost that year. They lost because they were one of the dumbest teams with talent I've seen.

And since the game is already over, why take Rusch out? Why not just make him throw 70-80 pitches whether he gives up no runs or 12 runs? Don't bring Williamson in.

I wish they'd let him pitch until he injured himself.

I predict Dusty pitches Williamson until his arm falls off.

That would be a typical Dusty move. Pull a guy who is used to being a starter and leave a reliever in there to rot.

If they are going to fire Baker get a manager that knows Chicago and the Chicago Cubs. It's a shame that Giardi got snatched up because I'd love to give him a shot. You need someone that bleeds Cubbie blue that understands what being a Cub fan is like.

I couldn't care less if the next manager "knew" Chicago or what it was like to be a Cubs fan. I don't need a fan managing, I want to see a smart manager.

I don't believe it was Barrett's fault, but it's a big coincidence that that series started with the Astros being 8 1/2 to 10 1/2 out, then after that series they went on their run to catch and pass the Cubs.

Look on the bright side. Soon, the Cubs record will be so abysmal that they will grow tired of mocking you. Mocking is less fun when the sport is taken out of it.

I really hope Dusty pulls a double switch today. I really, really do.

I hope Dusty screws up a double switch today.

Remember the "double switch" that he botched a couple years ago when Ramon Martinez belted a double then was called out for batting out of order? Dusty got out of the straight jacket that day. I want to see botched double switch Dusty at some point soon.

But you need manager that understands this city and the Cubs history. You need someone with pride. Look no further to the south side and you have a manager that bleeds with Sox pride and instilled that into his players. I tell you what a manager that knows the Cubs history would've freaking went out to talk to Mark Prior after the bartman play that's for sure....

Yep. The Sox won last year because Ozzie knows Chicago. It had nothing to do with pitching, defense, or homeruns.

No, you need a manager who wins.
