I am officially done being disappointed that the Cubs are sucking this year and have resorted to just laughing at their failures.

That's the only thing you can do...And drink alot.

That's for when I get off of work tonight...or maybe a little during. I'm bartending.

Do you think I can try to sue the Cubs for trashing my liver and mental anguish? I think I have a case...

Okay let's get another laid back California dude....Why is that Ludicrous? Wouldn't you want a manager that has pride for his town and team? Didn't Dikta have that? Doesn't Ozzie have that? Heck this team has tried everything else!

Except building a team with good OBP and power, and have a manager that knew how to use his players to get maximum performance.

But yeah, other than that, we've tried everything.

Agreed! Let's put it this way no matter who is the manager unless you get a GM that understands how to build a team it won't matter...

Come on...a better manager could get this team to play better. This team has talent. Baker puts them in the position least likely to succeed, and shockingly, they don't.

For the hundredth time, Dusty asked for these players! Lets get a manager in there that can be successful!

Hendry has an extension. He's not going anywhere. There's no reason to be saddled with a bad manager because of that.

Where do you see talent? What change managers and all of a sudden Pierre hit's over .300, Todd Walker shines as a number 3 hitter, and our 3 rookie pitchers start to pitch lights out. This a a bad team! Maybe not this bad (in the last two weeks) but a below .500.

This argument is circular. Are you asking me to post the lineup I posted like 10 pages back that I think would be successful? No, I don't think that Juan Pierre will be a .300 hitter, but I think he could be more productive in the #2 spot, where we aren't counting on him getting on base as much, but he could possibly move the runner over. Or better yet down toward the bottom of the lineup where if he does start hitting, he could provide a late inning spark...at least for now. I also didn't have Walker as a number 3 hitter in my lineup. This team has enough talent to be above .500. I think a good manager would be playing winning baseball with this team. But I'm done arguing it, because I'm done with the circular argument.

If I have to go see a shrink for the Cubs, I'm going to send my bills to the Tribune Co.

I wish I had the self control to not get disappointed by this disaster.

All I know is the direction that this team is going is wrong. They are not just getting beat, they are embarrassing themselves, embarrasing themselves.

Somebody should have to pay for this. It's one thing to get beat because of lesser talent on the field. But that is not what has been happening for the better part of the last month.

Frankly, I don't care about excuses, something has to be done.

Do the idiots in charge not see what is happening on the field? It's one thing if you go through a bad streak due to injuries but this team has looked listless and uninterested pretty much since the start of LAST season yet nothing has been done to turn over the coaching staff.

The Cubs have been the dumbest team in baseball since the start of the 2003 season. The only common thread over those three years has been the manager.

This has been happening for the past 3 years! The same bad baseball over and over and over again.

The most shocking thing is after today we are only 5 games below .500. Seems like we are 10 games...

The thing that kills me is that it always seems like the Cubs have a new plan every couple of years but that plan NEVER involves starting from scratch or going for broke on the free agent market.

Regardless of the GM you never see the Cubs do either of the following:

1. Make a splash with a big-ticket FA signing or two in the offseason.

2. Strip it down to the frame and play a bunch of kids.

Nope, instead we get the mediocre retread free agents who used to be good along with the crappy trash that had a semi-decent year for the Cubs last season with one or two rookies thrown in just to make it look good.

Yeah the FA market last year wasn't great but there was absolutely no reason for clowns like Rusch or Neifi Freakin' Perez to be picking up checks at Wrigley every week.

After today the Cubs will be 0-20 when trailing after nine innings.

You forgot the games they lost in the 10th & 11th innings.
