Poor Z won't get the decision.

if they score here he would ...

Wouldn't whoever pitches the 8th get the win?

No. Not that it matters now. Zambrano is the pitcher of record until someone else actually throws a pitch.

OMG NOT PIERRE WITH THE BASES LOADED

grounding out to second is in the near future for the Cubs.

You called it.

I rule.

Don't worry my dudes. Aramis will save us next inning.

Too late. Zambrano wants to be traded to a team that can score runs.

Thanks for the clarification.

On the plus side of things, we successfully doubled the amount of hits we've had in this game, and increased our walks by 200%

Good thing we gave Hendry that much deserved extension.

I wasn't aware Hendry plays CF.

He doesn't but he is the one that put this pathetic team together.

Hey, ground out to second by Pierre.... who saw that coming??? Oh that's right, everyone.

Actually, I wasn't sure it'd get past the pitcher.

I somehow doubt that.

Everyone on the Cubs (except, ironically, Zambrano) is in a super-uber-mega funk.

Even if they all had career years, we would only be putting up average run totals.

Very dumb managing by the Padres. Intentionally walking Neifi to get to the pitcher made no sense when Z had thrown 107 and was sure to be pulled for a PH. An RHP vs. Neifi was the best situation the Padres could have hoped for.

Pathetic? There's nearly a potential all-star at every position. It's the Lee injury that's really killing us.

Dusty. 'nuff said.
