Who's the manager of the year? MVP? Cy Young? ROY?

Dusty Baker, Matt Murton, Greg Maddux, and Sean Marshall.

RIGHT now, Sean Marshall is definately the leading candidate for ROY. Question is...will he be up at the major league levels long enough to qualify.

Too bad that Marshall didn't get the W, but the most important thing is that the Cubs won!

What an incredibly awesome performance by Sean Marshall though. Wow!

By the way, thanks to everyone who was providing the play by play. It was much appreciated.

Anyone worried Rusch will get the treatment over Marshall when guys start to get healthy?

No. They seem to have supreme confidence in him, each start he's going longer and longer.

Marshall still has things to work on which he hasn't really been able to do at the major league level and should return to a minor league rotation when Prior, Wood, and Miller (although that may change) return. That won't be a bad thing. It'll just depend which order he, Guzman, and Hill get sent down. Hopefully they're not tempted to put him in the 'pen.

Heck of a job by Sean.

I don't believe so, to the Cubs credit, they seem to have taken a little bit different approach, last two seasons, I have no doubt they would have stuck with Rusch. This season they've already replaced Williams and if Hill does well I believe he'll take Rusch' spot.

Obviously Marshall is going to suffer a bit of a dropoff. But if he continues to pitch well there is nothing, not even a healthy Wade Miller, that should kick him out of the rotation. Wood will push out Rusch/Hill/Williams and Prior will push out Guzman. No offense to Wade Miller, but I don't think Marshall should go anywhere anytime soon. Now, if he starts to lose his touch and starts getting hit consistently, then we can drop him down to AAA. But until that happens he should stay in the rotation.
