Hendry will have to make a move....What do you think it will be?

The Pirates are probably ok with moving Craig Wilson, as all they have to do is call up Eldred. I wouldn't mind Wilson on the team at all.

Only problem with Wilson is that his stock is so high right now.

If Lee's out for 8-10 weeks, let's see what it would take to get Todd Helton.

While you're probably saying that tongue-in-cheek, what do you do with 'em when Lee gets back?

No, I'm completely serious. When Lee returns, stick Helton in right or left field.

petagine pls

the same one who didn't play for 7 years, is 34, and aside from 5 at bats this season, has never put up impressive numbers?

I don't want Hendry to go into a panic mode because of this and hurt this team for years. I'm comfortable with seeing how Sing can do at first and going from there.

Of course nothing is offical until the Cubs say it is, but if the Score is reporting hes being fit for a cast...well thats not good.

the score has been wrong on many occassions. this is the same radio station that said pudge rodriguez was signing a deal with the cubs during the '03 offseason. i feel like i could get a better sports news update from mancow's morning madhouse with al roker jr.

Levine on ESPN 1000 just said Lee has 2 fractures in his wrist and he'll be in a cast for 6 weeks.

Well if it's this serious of an injury, there could be career-long side effects.

So much for the prodigious power for the next five years, hello overpriced paperweight.

We should have gotten him the day after the bucs got Casey. He could have filled so many holes and pretty cheaply in terms of dollars and prospects.

Thanks a lot Scott Eyre, who taught you to do the glove flip, Todd Walker?

If you want to blame someone, it'd be better to go after Furcal for running 2' inside the line.

Not signing Furcal looks even worse now. Nobody could have predicted this obviously, but it wouldn't have happened if we had him.

That's a ridiculous outlook. You can't blame this injury on not signing Furcal. Seriously, that's a really silly statement. How exactly are the two related? It's as valid to say that this injury wouldn't have happened if just about any event occurred. Hindsight is always 20/20, but this is ridiculous and annoying Monday morning quarterbacking.

I'm not, I'm just pointing out a meaningless fact.

If Lee is hurt for 2 months, then SOMETHING has to be done. Whether it's put Jones or Murton at 1st, and call up Pie. Or make trade for somebody big who could provide good offense at 1st, something needs to be done.

Petagine

He went to Japan for those years.

He's not a stud, but we could do worse for a stopgap. All depends on what it takes to get him.

Wow, the overreaction is rampant.

I think that's a good idea, to put Murton or Jones at first and call up Pie, at least while we look for someone. It's much better than calling up Sing to start IMO.

I agree, if he's out for more than a few weeks we would have to have all the pitchers at 100% to get by. They need to make a move, but without doing anything dumb to cripple the farm system. Edited by mul21

I've noticed everything I say will happen never does, so I'm trying my best to change the situation, what have you done?
