Game threads are averaging 74 pages through 7 games.

The cubs are:

0-0 When the game thread is under 40 pgaes long

2-0 When the game thread is 40-49 pages long

0-0 When the game thread is 50-59 pages long

0-2 When the game thread is 60-69 pages long

1-0 When the game thread is 70-79 pages long

0-0 When the game thread is 80-89 pages long

0-0 When the game thread is 90-99 pages long

2-0 When the game thread is over 100 pages long

Clearly if we are in the 9th inning, we need to make sure we get to the 70 page page.

(obviously non-premium figures)

With Premium, both losses came in a 47 page game thread.

For those who have mentioned starting Barrett at 3rd, who would be your back up catcher then? If Blanco got hurt, I suppose you could move Barrett behind the plate and put someone else at third. Too bad the Gremlin isn't around as the emergency catcher.lol

Barrett would still be the backup catcher. Perez could then come in to play 3B.

If Walker can't hit against lefties, explain why he was left in to hit against Rincon on Sunday night. Then, after he walked, Hairston was brough in to run for him...
Posted

W/out Ramirez in the lineup, BOTH Barrett and Walker should be playing.

Maybe Z will hit one out...although with Blanco and Perez in front of him, chances are it would be a solo homerun.

OMK.....that line-up sucks. Ugh!

That's not the actual released lineup...just one man's take on it...but probably close to accurate.

i know he's a lefty but didn't mabry do a pretty good scott rolen impersonation last year?

so we face milton who is a flyball pitcher and we of course put our punch and judy lineup in....and i thought yesterdays looked pretty bad

I don't recall Barrett being a real great 3b defensively, but I could be wrong.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they put Barrett at 3b. The way he's hitting, he needs to be in there.

OMK.....that line-up sucks. Ugh!

What would you rather see with the players we have available? Jones and Aramis are not able to play at present.

Barrett should be starting, and maybe Walker. Without either of them, and with Ramirez and Jones out, the lineup is pretty weak.

EDIT: And I should get some kind of award for understatements there.

Here's a novel idea today....how about Lee at cleanup? OMGWTFBBQ11!!1!!

How bout:

1. Pierre CF

2. Hairston 2B

3. Pagan RF

4. Lee 1B

5. Murton LF

6. Perez 3B

7. Cedeno SS

8. Blanco C

Okay, so that still makes me queasy but slightly less so.

So, you consider Pagan to be the best hitter in this lineup? Typically, that's who goes in the 3 spot.

Not sure how Mabry does against lefties, but I don't have a problem loading up the line up with RH hitters against a LH starter. Which is why I wouldn't mind seeing Barrett over at 3b.
