OMK.....that line-up sucks. Ugh!

What would you rather see with the players we have available? Jones and Aramis are not able to play at present.

Barrett should be starting, and maybe Walker. Without either of them, and with Ramirez and Jones out, the lineup is pretty weak.

Mabry at third would be nice.

We have Z on the mound. Hairston was already promised the start before the injuries last game. He hasn't started a game yet. I guess Dusty could break his word.

Mabry is horrible at 3B defensively. Z is a groundball pitcher. I really doubt that Mabry is going to provide enough with the bat to make up for the 1-2 errors he'll likely commit. I love Mabry as a PH.

Barrett has gotten plenty of time, but he is riding a hot streak. I guess that one's a judgement call on Dusty's part.

I must have missed something. How do we know that both Walker and Barrett will be sitting? I can see why people think Hairston will start against a LHP, but what about Barrett?

In other news, Thome has gone deep again. Jeebus.

And Barrett and Walker will sit because when Dusty goes sucky, he goes all out.

I think everyone who hits a home run the last couple of weeks is on your HR Derby list, XZero.

Not sure how Mabry does against lefties, but I don't have a problem loading up the line up with RH hitters against a LH starter. Which is why I wouldn't mind seeing Barrett over at 3b.

Barrett would probably make Edwin Encarnacion look like a gold glover. I know Barrett has played some 3rd before, but I don't think you just throw him out there when he hasn't played or practiced there in who knows how long.

Barrett has been hot and I wish he was in there too. But he's not going to catch all 162. I think everyone can exect Blanco to get one start a week.

True, but half of the people in that contest have Thome as well.

Hmmm...I'm I the only one that is optimistic about today's lineup. I like the speed and I think we are going to score some today. 6-3 Cubs win this game

z has got to be pissed that he gets to trot out to the hill with that lineup!

couldn't we wait and give barrett his day off when mabry and walker could start vs a righty? or if aram or jones came back?

Maybe Z prefers pitching to Blanco? I'm just grasping at straws because I don't have a better answer.

With an extreme fly ball and HR prone guy like Milton, I would have preferred to have more pop in the lineup.

We can only hope that the Reds fielding is up to their normal standards.

Perhaps Z prefers run support to catching Blanco.

I'd wait and use Blanco on a day when Ramirez was available. I'd have Walker in there too. He's hit Milton fairly well.

So yesterday was the first time the Cubs stole 4 bases in a LONG time. I say we go for 6 swipes today. Heck, with how weak this lineup is powerwise, let em run!

That's what gets my goat. Playing Blanco is fine, but why do when the rest of the lineup is already weak? It's like Dusty planned on this a few days ago and won't adjust to the circumstances.

My best guess based on hearing that Neifi is at 3B

And that is what Gameday says. Good guess.

Cool :D
