I liked it. It didn't appear as if he was trying to hit him, and it was one of those plunger syringes without a needle. No malice, no harmful objects, just good clean fun. If Barry can make millions off of cheating then I think a fan should be able to pull off this gag. But we all know the fan's going to be crucified (by MLB that is).

I think it's pretty ridiculous that a Padres fan would do that, and I hope that no Cubs fan does it when the Giants come to Chicago.

When do the Giants come our way again?

Like an actual syringe with a needle, or what?

No, it was the plastic part that holds the liquid. There was no needle attached. Hence I found it hilarious. It couldn't hurt a fly.

Maybe it will take legs and last the whole year.

Agreed. Another issue is that, what if that was the real thing, you know? It could potentionally be hazarous. Or what if it was something else that not only it would be a danger to Bonds, but also the people around the area?

Look, I honestly don't know if he did, or didn't do it. But what that fan did, was pretty classless, in my opinion. If you got a problem with Bonds, then boo him, or hold signs, or something. Just don't throw objects on the field. It's not right.

I wonder if that fan got tossed out of the game....

Amusing or not fans don't have the right to throw things on the field.

Bonds doesn't have the right to abuse illegal drugs and lie in front of a Grand Jury, either.

So you'd be ok if fans started throwing beer bottles to Ryan Freel or Rafael Furcal?

You know what would've been really funny? If fans threw pieces of cork at Sammy after that incident. Or high heeled shoes at Chuck Finley.

Throwing things on the field is definitely not OK, but I think I would have busted a gut if someone threw high heels at Finley.

I know for a fact that people threw bits of cork at Sammy, so TT may be making a sarcastic comment about incidents that actually happened.

I thought cork might have been thrown at Sammy, but if shoes were chucked at Finley I missed it.

As long as they're empty...

I can't stand it when people waste good beer.

Not a fan of any fan throwing any object at any player.

Oh, I agree. I think a fan who throws something at a fan should be banned from that ballpark, permenantly.

Especially if it's a Super Twinkie thrown down to Lance Berkman, who proceeds to hit a homerun the inning after consuming said Super Twinkie.
