Jacque Jones coming out on the double switch? I love you Dusty!!!

I thought for sure that Murton was coming out when I saw Dusty walking out with his lineup card.

NO way he'd pull Murton. Even Dusty knows Murton is a better hitter than Jones. Plus, didn't he make the last out in the previous half inning?

Same thing year after year. Our starters can't hold leads and we waste opportunities with our offense.

Does this really need to start 5 innings into the season?

The comment itself or what he was talking about?

Don't look now, Dusty might be trying to keep his job!

If Jaque comes out in the 5th inning of every game we might have a shot...

Jones? Yeah. But I still wouldn't put it past Dusty to take Murton out of the game.

Especially with 2 men on base.

Well do you really sense a change?

Um the fact we scored 5 in the first and didn't squander that opportunity was a change. No team is gonna score EVERY time they have runners in scoring position. None. Not even the WS champs.

Nomar not in the opening day lineup for the Dodgers...surprise!

NO way, why?

The word in FlashChat is a rib strain.

I think the ticker on ESPN said something about a rib problems or pulling a muscle in his stomach. Either way, he can't catch a break.

Someone asked about Z's starts to the season earlier. Here's your asnwer:

2003: 4 very good starts followed by 4 runs in 6.2 IP

2004: 3 very good starts followed by 7 runs in 4.1 IP

2005: Bad start, great start, really bad start, great start, horrible start

They said on the radio that he didn't have much zip early on. With the early start to spring training, maybe he's going through a bit of a dead arm period right now.

And most teams if you give your ace a 5 run lead that a gimme win for him. I'm not only talking about the offense but our starters habit of getting and then giving away big leads. As for the offense I'm talking about scoring early and not putting teams away.
