I was thinking more of a bunt single, followed by three stolen bases! I'd love to see JP steal home on someone.

I'm going to have to let Pat and Ron describe the action for me as I'll be taking in an Opening Day Game in Texas.

But, I'm hoping this will be the first of many, many Cubs victories.

BHogg do yo thang!

Wednesday's game will be on ESPN, by the way. There shouldn't be any blackout for those in Chicago.

No need for an "after shot"..... when the CUBS are down kicking the crap out of Harang, you could bury him in a matchbox !!

The forecast right now calls for a high of a high temperature of 61 degrees, 20% chance of rain, and winds of around 25 mph.

BASEBALL :D

I can't wait. Seems like I've been on NSBB forever already but oddly this will be the first Cubs game I get to enjoy with all of you. This will be great!

Jon, are you sure about no blackouts for Wednesday? Every time the Cubs had a weekday game on ESPN last year it was blacked out in the Muncie area (never mind the fact that we don't even get Comcast Sportsnet...).

Shouldn't be. There are no other games during that time and I don't recall any Wednesday day games being blacked out before when that's the case. But we'll just have to wait and see.

Oh Cubs. How I often criticized and swore you guys off this offseason, claiming that I would not care about you this year, I'll be back when there are people in the front office that want to win, etc. However, as the weeks went by, and the spring drew near, I found myself coming back to you. How I love you Cubs. A new year, a new team and more [probably false] hope that this is our year! Go Cubs!
