Getting close...anyone know if expansion is almost completed? Pics?

Yep, it's pretty close. They've spent the end of this week pouring the sidewalks again. I'm pretty sure the whole interior is done. I saw them pouring the end of the rightfield bleachers a couple of weeks ago, and they were working on the bleacher boxes after that.

The gate N area still needs a little work, but it'll be done within a week. Right now it's just an open space with a big elevator in the middle of it.

What I think is funny, is when a project must get done it gets done just in time. When there really is not a time frame put on a project it doesn't get done for years sometimes. It was the winter and they completely rebuilt the bleachers. Come on.

Thats operations management right there. It usually costs more to rush a project, so I'm assuming thats why some projects take forever to complete.

Yeah. i bet they had to pay a lot of overtime. Especially at the beginning of the reconstruction, they were working at night a lot.

Working at night in the winter, that's a job I would not work at.

They should have a live cam like they did with Busch. Are there any sites with a live cam including bleachers?

I just jogged by Wrigley today. I'm pretty confident it will be ready

[expletive] you're lucky.

I get called out for s*** and this is allowed. If you're going to censor cussing censor CURSING too please. G** **** is much more abbrasive than s*** IMO. Sorry, religious rant.

So you reply to that by breaking board policy with profanity?

It looks like they did a great job with the exterior wall. Should look pretty good from the el or when walking by. And hopefully there are going to be one or two more bleacher exits.

Walked by it last night. Looks like the bulk of the work is done, but now all the little things need to be finished up. I walked by it pretty late, and there were still a lot of guys in there working. Mostly cleaning up. They were powerwashing the sidewalk over by the Harry Carey statue, and sweeping up under the new bleachers. They still have some work to do, but I think it'll be ready in time for the most part.

It's still really cool that they have the gate in the right field wall open. You can see right into the stadium from Sheffield.

The park looks great, in spite the naysayers' claims of doom heard upon this project's announcement. There really is no downside to this.

The care with which the bleacher project was done gives me great hope that the additional changes in the works will be just as successful.

The only change to Wrigley I'd really like to see and think would look cool would be to add ivy to the outside of the stadium. Might not be feasible given the amount of drunks walking around down there on any given night though.

I wouldnt' mind if they made all the exterior walls brick...Not sure they'd ever do a project like that that was purely cosmetic though. Not a big fan of Wrigley's present exterior appearance.

a world series championship banner would look great!

Knothole? Or atleast that's where it would've been?

It's this pre-existing opening to the field. It's the same door that they use to get an ambulance onto the field if they need one.
