Meh, I'm sorta on the fence but voted "keep it". In such a long schedule it's nice to see a fresh team now and again.

I think the bigger concerns are when they decide to do stupid stuff like not schedule the Cardinals after July 21 or give us an extra series against the defending WS Champs, etc.

The novelty has worn off. I say can it.

Won't happen. It's a Bud Selig pet project. Just like we'll see homefield determined by the frigging All Star Game until he goes away as well. Why, oh why, can't baseball simply give home field to the team with the best record like, say, every other sport whose championship isn't played on a neutral field?

Why get rid of it? It isn't hurting the game. The all-star winner getting home field advantage can hurt a team, but this clearly doesn't. It adds something new.

The answer is MORE interleague play. Get rid of the DH, play a truly balanced schedule.

IF the AL gets rid of the DH then I'm fine with Interleague play. Right now the schedule is very unbalanced & unfair.

I agree w/getting rid of the DH and getting rid of Interleague games as well as going to a balanced schedule.

No, balanced schedule is bad. While it is argues that is unfair, I'd rather have more chances to gain ground against division foes than an extra series or two against the Padres or Nationals.

And less of the Cards playing the Royals.

My opinion i love it. Gives a chance for the fans to see some of the best players in the game unless you play Royals, and you are looking at Paul Bako for 9 innings. Great defense horrible hitter.

If it's unfair, I think it should be removed. Especially with the wild card, the difference between divisions should be minimized as much as possible. It should be weighted, just 12-13 games within the division and 9 against out of division.

I want the Royals and Devil Rays for 18 each.

I agree. Keep it and only let us play the following teams:

D-Rays

Tigers

Blue Jays

Orioles

Royals

Seattle

but really, i dont mind it. I wouldnt mind not playing it either. I dont care. I just like baseball.

So you hate the NFL scheduling then? Or College Football/Basketball?

Make that 3 of us. If Baseball gets rid of the wildcard then an unbalanced season is ok but since there is one I see no reason why baseball has one.

I don't know about UK but I don't like the NFL schedule. I don't think you could have a balanced schedule in the NCAA's with 118 teams in football and 180 or more in basketball.

The D-Rays would kick our butts. They have a pretty darn good offense, and a bunch of pitchers who the Cubs haven't seen before.

Keep it. I need a reason to go to that dump town Detroit (nice stadium though). I dont think the Cubs have ever played there at Comerica. The place would most assuradly sell out because of all the Cubs fans, so that would be sweet. This year will be the second time they play the tigers at Wrigley. That pisses me off.

how often has the wildcard come from a weak weak division? ever? seeing as how many wildcard teams have won the WS, I don't think this has been a problem. if you can show me it has, I'll change my mind.
