So Jones aparently is already appreciating what all of us have realized for many years, there is no replacement to Wrigley Field.

 

My Question is, he says, ""My body was saying, 'Thank you,'" Jones said Tuesday at an introductory news conference. "There's no substitute for grass."" I'm assuming he's not the only one who feels this way, and you always hear about players having to sit out while playing on astroturf, but why do they still have astroturf fields? Does anyone know they havent moved to the fake grass like football has?

The Twins play Baseball on Astroplay now, which is fake grass.

 

It is a odd surface, I have taken Batting Practice on it and and threw from the hill and I hated the backdrop. The infield was very nice, heck even my players didn't boot or make a bad play.

Couch is by far the worst writer in this city, which is saying something. His columns are trite, misinformed, poorly written, and painful to read.

 

I'd rather read a 9th grader at Minooka HS writing about the Freshman Wrestling squad losing 3 of 5 matches. I'd get more out of that article than I would one of Couch's, likely just as much useful baseball content in that.
