Three INTs including two returned for TDs. And the third set up a short field for the offense to score on a reverse. But it would be wrong to say that they stopped playing, 'cause they never started.

Mark May is an idiot. He said Devin Hester was the fastest man on the field in LSU vs. Miami. Bennie Brazzell for LSU was is an olympic sprinter. I would imagine he could outrun Hester.

The pass interference call, I could go either way on. The one that I thought was mindblowingly terrible was the "AD fumble at the goal line" where he was stopped, rolled completely over, and then had the ball stripped. No way he wasn't already down.

Slight disagreement, Nike only makes the uni, I'm sure they're not in the business of telling college teams what uniforms to wear. Nike makes uniforms for lots of different schools and none of them look as awful as those.

 

Actually Nike does determine what uniform they will wear. It is part of the contract, IIRC. Same thing with VT, and the hideous nike uniforms they had earlier this year.

Must only be Oregons then, b/c I'm quite sure they have zero input on most other schools. That stuff would never fly down here. Nike makes LSU's as well as Bama's and others in the SEC and there hasn't been a uni change down here in years IIRC.

You are probably correct but I don't generall agree with your statement. Carl Lewis would not have been fast in football terms (well exceptionally fast) because he accelerated through 100 meters - further than a football player ever runs. Hester may be quicker than most olympic sprinters.

That was an exciting game. My nephew wanted to leave at half time, but I made him stay. He was glad we did.

Vance I don't know if you saw it or not, but the announcers mentioned how some LSU fans are upset about the threepeat talk. They said it seems people have forgotten about LSU. It's nice to see they're actually giving LSU some respect tonight. I guess it's kinda hard not to when they're crushing "The U" :roll:

Its a shame LSU never gets to the right bowl game. That loss to UT is inexplicable though. Miami is so overrated - they aren't even on the same level as LSU tonight.

That's why ND should join - they'd lead the league in both categories! I'm not sure bowl records are always a great indication of league strength.

Probably not, but considering that the vast majority of big conference teams are too big of wusses to schedule each other in the regular season, it's all we've got.

I think big ten teams have historically been tailored to play in cold windy conditions. playing speedy southern teams in warm climates has not served them well recently. basketball-wise, the big ten has done pretty well in the tournaments, why do you say they are overrated? Top-heavy perhaps.

everyone said the Big 10 was bad in basketball last year, yet they had 3 teams in the Elite 8. I will agree with you guys about football though, the Big 10 is definitely not as good as conferences such as the SEC, ACC, Big 12, and maybe even the Pac 10.
