The Cincy/Dayton game should be the highlight of the second round. Illinois plays (at home!) Monday at 8.

I can only hope the NCAA is as good as the NIT has been so far. A few real entertaining games; so with the increased talent level hopefully the NCAA is even better.

For the most part the only people who are going to post about the NIT are going to be Illini fans. You guys would likely takeover the overall March Madness thread which is pretty universally about people's brackets and THE tournament. You guys would likely annoy the rest of us with the drama of Illini's games and we would annoy you by responding to them. This way you guys can post away from that and not be bothered. It's a win-win.

It would get pretty confusing trying to keep the Monday NIT and NCAA tournament games straight.

There is a reason why the Bulls and some other teams have there own thread. When the Illinois is in the NIT they should have their own thread. Not sure why you are complaining or throwing out insults.

UNC wins by 2 anyway, so it didn't end up mattering in the long run. So far, Ole Miss and UNC are the final eight teams, six games left to play (2 today, 4 Monday).

The two Mississippi schools are two of the most disappointing teams in the nation in my opinion.

As a UNC fan it's nice to see the young guys play well and play with intensity even though it's only the NIT. Henson is playing with more confidence and the guards aren't playing like crap anymore. Zeller being back has helped a lot. If Davis stays for his junior year, Henson eats some food, and Barnes, Bullock, and Marshall make significant contributions in their freshman seasons, next year could be a real good one for the Heels.

I am pretty scared of Henson and Zeller next year.

over under on number of pages in this thread by the end of the NIT?

 

Depends on how many more times sulley gets to use up three pages per game complaining about how the calls never go for Illinois and how his teams never catch breaks.

this might be a joke, but when illinois is up 10 is when things go the worst, so that's actually the best time for sulley to be complaining.

Now back to the second-tier tournament. Thankfully we have this thread so it won't get confusing in the other thread. ;)

 

Cincy-Dayton should be a good one. Illinois is the heaviest favorite tomorrow. Kent State is somewhere between Northwestern and Penn State in quality. Illinois beat Northwestern in OT and beat PSU by 1 at home, so I expect the result tomorrow to be somewhere in between. ;)
