over under on number of pages in this thread by the end of the NIT?

Depends on how many more times sulley gets to use up three pages per game complaining about how the calls never go for Illinois and how his teams never catch breaks.

While Illinois is up 10

this might be a joke, but when illinois is up 10 is when things go the worst, so that's actually the best time for sulley to be complaining.

somebody finally gets it. absolutely correct

and we have Cole, Keller, and Jordan all on the court. Way to get ready for next year Bruce. Please just play Griffey and Paul, you know, the talented kids.

I agree, they gain nothing but dumb play - see Keller right before the half - with Cole, Keller and Jordan on the floor. What was the starting lineup?

Keller did score eight straight points for the team, too.

Weber calls a time out and benches mccamey after he hits a big shot. He deserves to lose

You're kidding here, right?

Nope. He ran a textbook fast break, nobody guarded him so he knocked down a wide open free throw line jumper and got benched. Not exactly sure what that was all about

That was just a fun second half of basketball to watch. They were shooting lights out and came at Kent State with a balanced scoring attack. I have been pretty impressed with Paul the last two games as well. He has been more aggressive getting to the basket, and he has been drawing fouls. I really would have loved to see more of Tyler Griffey though.

Also, Dickey Simpkins and that other guy (Weekly?) were absolutely brutal to listen to.

Dayton destroyed Cincy, so Illinois will host Dayton on Wednesday.

Dayton is probably the best team in this tournament.

Yeah, but he does nothing for us in the future. I wanna see a lot more of Griffey than we are getting.

well, keller IS a senior and is often effective against mid-major types due to his athleticism and the fact that he can actually get his shot off against them. i see no problem with bruce giving some minutes to keller.

i see a problem with him benching mccamey right after he did something good and interrupting a nice run by calling a time out to do it.

I saw some highlights of Illinois' game and on three seperate occasions there was a play that brought all or most of the players to their feet and clapping. But there was one guy in the middle who just sat there doing nothing each time. Is there a well known malcontent on the team who likes to brood while the team celebrates?

Not really. I'd guess Stan Simpson, a redshirt freshman who never plays, and doesn't look to crack the rotation any time soon, but he wouldn't be sitting in the middle of the bench. You have any sort of description of him?

He was a black guy wearing just the uniform (no warms up or anything like that, so I assume he plays ). It was about 20 seconds of highlights and was really the only thing that stood out to me, other than the fact that it was highlights of the NIT and I'll watch anything on an airplane.

Eh, Keller's pouting only seemed to last through the Wisconsin game. He was up jumping around during the OSU and Stony Brook games

I missed that, I was playing basketball by that point. I don't get why Weber is such a tool with McCamey. I'm really not suprised that McCamey bumped him against Wisky. He probably hates him.

Weber called the timeout there because there were two Kent State players alone by their basket. He called a TO to prevent the easy 2.
