  1. Dodgers are owned by an investment group, so there are exceptions there. It would be hard to be worse than Angelos.
  2. That...doesn't contradict what's in the article. Basically it says that he's traditionally featured a sinker instead of a four-seamer, but added the four-seamer in 2023.
  3. No love for Porter Hodge? I think he's our most likely to be selected. Age 22 season in AA, stuff played up in relief in the second half, pitched to great results last year, etc.
  4. You say this with such confidence. Admirable.
  5. Just more proof the world isn't flat!
  6. True statement, but I think Canario is a significantly better prospect than Nelson was.
  7. I agree with most of the above posts, but I'm going to point out here that he really struggled in his first week or so back at Iowa and then pretty much tore the cover off the ball after that. It would be completely understandable that he needed to find his timing when he first got there. That said... There is absolutely no rational foundation to say that he's already a better player than Ian Happ I do believe his power gives him a higher ceiling than Happ, but the contact issues make him fairly unlikely to reach it
  8. They could trade back.
  9. I don't think I'd move him yet, but I'd have him start taking some grounders there during drills to see if he's capable.
  10. Is Bedard already the best player on any team in Chicago?
  11. I'm curious... Who in the 11-15 range are you putting over Horton?
  12. Fun fact - Jeimer was worse defensively than Morel on a rate basis at 3B last year for the Cubs
  13. I was curious if Indiana was playing without a secondary in this game. UI's backup QB had 430 yards passing at the end of the the third quarter
  14. Here's a hint... (Going somewhere, Solo?)
  15. So you are a Packers and Arizona fan? ewww
  16. I'll take door #3: Trade for Soto Sign Imanaga Sign Bellinger (same-ish money as Alonso)
  17. meh, maybe Yadiel had a tight hammy before the game or something
  18. I would like to have Higgins back as depth, but I get that he'll see if he can get a big league contract. I hope we can re-sign Burdi, but the odds of him staying healthy for a significant period of time are pretty low. Perlaza would be very wise to sign elsewhere. He's not going to get the reps at Iowa. <sigh>Brailyn</sigh>
  19. I wouldn't go as far as an "F" in free agency, but I'd probably go with a "D". For example, he way over-invested in LB when he could have spent that money on the D-Line. There were several guys who would have made a big impact there this year. Then he wouldn't have had to use an early 2nd round pick to acquire (and then pay) Sweat. That's just a failure when it comes to allocating resources. For as much as we spent in FA, I can't think of a single impact-level guy he brought in. Yes, he had to spread that money out quite a bit because there were so many holes on the roster, but he has signed a whole bunch of meh. Another example...the o-line was a massive concern coming into the year. Nate Davis was the big addition there. Yes, part of the reason he hasn't had an impact is that he's been hurt. But when you sign guys that have a history of being hurt and they get hurt, that's kind of on you for signing them. And even when he has played, he hasn't been all that great. Can you give any counter examples that stand out in his FA signings that would call for a better grade?
  20. hahahahahaha I hope the Mets do it, but unfortunately there's no chance Stearns makes that offer.
  21. Evans..."if I catch this ball I'm going to be murdered"
  22. Young is so small.
