If the Cubs being in middle of the pack offensively are mediocre, at best, what are the Diamondbacks with their offense? Sure, the Cubs got beat but, lets not kid ourselves that the Diamondbacks were or are the better team. I'll give some credit to them for beating the Cubs however, they in large part were fortunate that the streaky Cub offense of May decided to show up. Cubs had what, 30+ LOB? and went 1-30+ RISP and either missed, popped-up or dribbled countless hanging breaking balls and badly located fastballs. Colorado' got a very good chance to expose the fraud that is the Diamondbacks, that trick of opposition whiffing on every mistake and freezing up with RISP is not going to work again. By the way, does anyone know why the Cubs kept throwing fastballs for strikes to Young? He can't hit a breaking ball to save his life and Cubs kept throwing him the only pitch he can hit - smart.
