  1. How in the world did the Cubs lose two of three to these Nationals?
  2. Today' game was really the only type of game the Cardinals could win vs. the Cubs, crappy pitcher - Looper - check, Cubs offense under performs against said crappy pitcher - check yet, they didn't win! You've gotta like the Cubs chances Saturday and Sunday.
  3. This calls for a Dragonmead (Warren, MI) Wee Heavy!!!!!
  4. The glass slipper just fell for the Cardinals, crash bang into a million pieces!!!!
  5. I'm going with the blind squirrel find' a nut theory here and say Howry pitches a miracle scoreless inning.
  6. It's just a matter of time before the Cubs get to the crap the Cardinals call a bullpen.
  7. We won the first game, Houston won the last 3. That was the series with the ball that supposedy hit off Berkman's helmet. I remember that, he acted like he'd been shot in the head, laying at the plate immobile.
  8. The Cards need at least 2 of these, and probably all 3, to keep their division hopes alive. I'm hoping Lou can practice a little jujitsu when LaRussa starts overmanaging and really pin these guys to the wall. GO CUBS!!! All 3 pitching matchups favor us, including Dempster/Carpenter, as long as our offense realises that the key with him is to drive up his pitch count early. From what we've seen thus far there's a good chance the offense realizes the key to beating any pitcher is diving up his pitch count.
  9. Two of three is certainly reasonable if not, expected this series, basically it boils down to the Cubs playing good baseball. If they do, it'll be awfully hard for the Cardinals to win more than one game.
  10. Lohse 2000 New Britain 3-18, 6+ ERA wow
  11. I know it's been said before ad nauseam but, beyond 3,4,5 the Cardinal line up is very poor.
  12. Maybe Lohse will remember he's not a Cy Young type pitcher today.
  13. Well Al, your Cards can think all they wish about beating the Cubbies, the simple fact is they're better than your Cards in every facet of the game and none of your or their thinking is going to change that.
  14. While watching the highlights via MLB' site I found it great that the Cubs where finally pounding Backe like the mediocre pitcher he is furthermore, at some point, Carlos Lee has to hit the dirt. If I recall his days with the White Sox correctly, he's a p**** who's easily intimidated, I'm thinking a well placed FB will take care of his confidence vs. the Cubs.
  15. Actually, LaTroy did that plenty in 2004. He was fantastic, as long as it wasn't in the 9th. You're right, actually it's not his fault he was put in a situation where he couldn't succeed.
  16. A-hole k's the side, gee where was that in 2004 Latroy?
  17. I don't if C. Lee will he get another chance but, I sure would like to see Wood or the Shark knock his ass on the ground.
  18. I've been requesting that for some time.
  19. Next time up Lee needs to be brushed back.
  20. A few seemed frustrated with Fukudome' recent struggles however, when one compares him to the crap that roamed RF last year, Fukudome' not too bad.
  21. Raise your hand if you'd like to see Carlos Lee brushed back or maybe, hit the dirt.
  22. The real question is how many more will Rodriguez give up? I don't see him getting out of the 5th.
  23. It's the same MO for Rodriguez as it was for Moehler last night away, away, away the only difference being Rodriguez' stuff is slower.
  24. There was the token fb, crappy sliders to follow
  25. Nor do I, he's doing it with smoke and mirrors...
