  1. Lilly hit Escobar in the ribs, Escobar decided to be a bitch and point out there, both benches cleared but everyone just stood around, and then after he stopped crying he took 1st base. Thanks, I still maintain that Cox is one the Cubs should be throwing at although, throwing a ball into the dugout would be very strange.
  2. I tune in to hear Pat talking about a warning to both benches, what the hell happened?
  3. Braves score their token run, I don't think the Cubs are done pounding Glavine.
  4. I know the Cardinals are just about done but, Miles with a two out bunt single epitomizes how pathetic they are.
  5. Ahh who cares? When all is said and done they won't come within 10 games of a playoff spot.
  6. It really ticks me off when guys like Francoeur, who swing at anything in the area code, walk against the Cubs.
  7. Because he stood for about 3 seconds to admire his single. I hope he does it again, no way should he let Cox and shameful tactics intimidate him, I've advocated brushing Carlos Lee back or even knocking him on his big ass never throwing at him with the intent to hurt.
  8. Cox was ejected several innings ago before all this Soriano mess started. I really didn't think Theriot was out at first there, but oh well. I know he was ejected however, that doesn't mean he stopped watching the game nor, he is unable to get messages to his team.
  9. Someone should go after Cox, not the pitcher throwing the pitch, this petty BS needs to stop.
  10. Will Game 2 be a WGN telecast as well?
  11. Can you fill us in? Something about Wainwright doing a re-hab start then, straight to the rotation as early next week.
  12. What Pat is saying of Wainwright smacks of desperation...
  13. If I'm Lou I tell Marquis "look were probably going to score some more runs, the next time you get ahead of hitter, if you start that nibbling sh*t again - you're done"
  14. If the a-hole started throwing strikes leads might be safe.
  15. Is Marquis EVER going to figure out that with a 4 run lead you throw strikes!!!!!
  16. I knew it was unrealistic to hope the Nationals might steal one from the Brewers however, the Brewers are off to the West Coast after this series. Starting with the Padres they'll face Peavy and Maddux, there's a real good chance the Padres will take at least one from the Brewers.
  17. How in the world did the Cubs lose two of three to these Nationals?
  18. Today' game was really the only type of game the Cardinals could win vs. the Cubs, crappy pitcher - Looper - check, Cubs offense under performs against said crappy pitcher - check yet, they didn't win! You've gotta like the Cubs chances Saturday and Sunday.
  19. This calls for a Dragonmead (Warren, MI) Wee Heavy!!!!!
  20. The glass slipper just fell for the Cardinals, crash bang into a million pieces!!!!
  21. I'm going with the blind squirrel find' a nut theory here and say Howry pitches a miracle scoreless inning.
  22. It's just a matter of time before the Cubs get to the crap the Cardinals call a bullpen.
  23. We won the first game, Houston won the last 3. That was the series with the ball that supposedy hit off Berkman's helmet. I remember that, he acted like he'd been shot in the head, laying at the plate immobile.
  24. The Cards need at least 2 of these, and probably all 3, to keep their division hopes alive. I'm hoping Lou can practice a little jujitsu when LaRussa starts overmanaging and really pin these guys to the wall. GO CUBS!!! All 3 pitching matchups favor us, including Dempster/Carpenter, as long as our offense realises that the key with him is to drive up his pitch count early. From what we've seen thus far there's a good chance the offense realizes the key to beating any pitcher is diving up his pitch count.
