And we're excluding the "The entire defense is the MVP" or "It's all Ron Rivera" arguments, because those are lame.

Urlacher has been the best LB in the entire league this season.

The Bears could make an argument for 8 defensive All-Pros.

Urlacher, A. Brown, Ogunleye, T. Harris, Briggs, Vasher, Tillman, and M. Brown.

-Urlacher will be there.

-Vasher leads the NFC in INTs

-Tillman leads the NFC in tackles from the CB position, tied for 5th with 13 passes defensed, 4 picks, plus he has perhaps to the 2 biggest plays of the year (OT pick 6, pick against GB)

-Briggs is 3rd for NFC Olbs in tackles

-Ogunleye is tied for 3rd in sacks

-Mike Brown is the leader of the secondary, 3rd in tackles at SS, 3 INTs

-Alex Brown has just 5 sacks, but has knocked down a DE high of 6 passes, forced 3 fumbles, and has hurried the QB relentlessly the last 5-6 games

- Harris is tied for 3rd (1/2 sack behind 2nd) with 3 sacks from the DT position.

In Detroit? That was Mike Brown. But I agree with your point.

Edit: I'm dumb...I think it was Tillman. Go Bears!

Ehh, IMO Tillman has significantly regressed this year. Leading the NFC in tackles from the CB position is nothing to be proud of, all it means is hes playing soft and giving up receptions, his tackles arent on running backs. He might be up there on passes defensed, but thats only because hes getting thrown to a ton. But yes, he does have big picks which makes everyone forget about the many many many 8-18 yard receptions hed given up.

I haven't had a chance to watch a lot of games in detail, but has Tillman really regressed or are the Bears asking him to play soft so they can shade the safeties towards Vasher on the other side of the field? I got the impression they're isolating him more this season and telling him to play soft because he's not getting as much deep help from the safety in this scheme.

More support for Urlacher......he has been running faster than the DBs on every return this season. He's throwing blocks and outrunning everyone on the field.

I just voted for him. Not seeing too many Urlacher is overrated remarks this season.

Hopefully the injuries and Paris Hilton affairs are gone forever.

Yep. Urlacher gets my vote also. Anyone who can make two blocks like Urlacher did on the Vasher 109 FG attempt touchdown return is #1 in my book, even if that wasn't a defensive play.

And women claiming they had his baby.

Alex Brown should be listed

D'OH! Meant to put Alex Brown instead of Mike Brown.

Added him to the poll and then voted for Urlacher.

Belated thanks for the change.
