I really want Mizzou to get a legit coach. A Huggins or Majerus. The games are intense enough, now. But they're WILD when Mizzou is good. The Norm Stewart days were awesome.

Plus, the B12North needs another player. I'm tired of the South getting all the hype. Let's get Huggins to KState and Majerus to Mizzou and get the B12North back on its feet.

An idea I've seen floated that I like is bringing in Majerus and Larry Drew. Majerus gets the program on its feet while he's physically able to coach, Drew gets experience recruiting and coaching at the college level, then takes over for Majerus after a couple(?) years.

We lost our 10th game of our last 11 tonight. That's downright embarassing.

Yeah we suck.

But hey, Mizzou baseball plays their first home game tomorrow.

Scherzer! I'm gonna try to make at least part of it.

Yeah I have a meeting at 3:30 so hopefully I'll get there sometime before the 3rd...does Scherzer have the mound?

I assume so. He last pitched on Friday so he'd be on normal rest. It'd also make sense to go with your ace for the home opener too.

In a fitting conclusion to one of the strangest and most depressing seasons in recent memory, Ball State sees 3 triples at the end of the game rim in and out, plus an NIU free throw rim in, and that's more than enough in a 78-73 loss. The loss clinches a road game (and therefore a loss) in the first round of the MAC Tourney for BSU. It also clinches, hopefully, the firing of head coach Tim Buckley, who took a MAC titan into the tank in six years.

Notre Dame 72, Providence 65.

ND is now in a tie for the pivotal 12th place in the conference. Now armed with the sweep tiebreaker against the Friars, ND controls their own destiny. If they beat DePaul at the Joyce Center on Saturday, they will be in the conference tournament, since the team they're tied with, St. John's, plays a team that ND would have the tiebreaker on if the Red Storm won - Rutgers, whom the Irish beat earlier this season.

In layman's terms, ND should be headed to New York. There'd be no excuse for losing to the Blue Demons, especially since they already have this season.

I hope this ends the ridiculous practice of storming onto the court/field.

A&M fans decide that it will not.

If you're going to storm the court, doing it when you beat your archrival that is ranked in the top 10 is a pretty good time to do it. Wasn't it a buzzer beater too?

Florida State fans should be embarassed.

Why?

Vitale blew that WAY out of proportion.

It's far too dangerous for the players, coaches, refs and the fans themselves. I've heard some scary stories from UCLA football players and a former Cal football player.

What did the FSU fans do?

They stormed on the court with 1.7 seconds left in the game.

I feel that in football, storming the field is a lot more dangerous than storming the court, with goal posts being torn down and such. That's just me, however.

Beyond the fans storming the court, I believe FSU exposed why Duke isn't the best team this year. Get Sheldon Williams in foul trouble and their only offensive option is Reddick. As good as he is, I don't think he's going to beat anyone in tournament shooting 30+ footers. I'll bet the FSU coach was delighted to see him throwing up those 30 footers. For my money, UConn, is head and shoulders above everyone else, great balance and they have superior depth which no other team can match.

I couldn't agree more. UConn, in my opinioin, clearly has the most talent. If they play like theyre capable of playing, nobody can beat them.

I thought it was more of Mike Patrick. He has to be the worst announcer I've ever heard. Such a homer for Duke. Everything that Duke did was "a great move" or "unbelievable." By the end of that broadcast, I was hoping the fans who were jumping over Dick Vitale and Patrick would just kick Patrick in the back of the head. The way he just complained about that reminded me of Joe Buck on the Randy Moss situation.

Well at least Patrick wasn't as over the top as whoever was calling the Texas game.

"HOW CAN YOU DO THAT PJ TUCKER??? WHAT ARE YOU THINKING??"

Scolding him like he's an 11 year old.

I'm gonna put this here for now cause it's still a little early, and it would probably reach the audience better this way, but would people be interested in doing a mock selection committee again like we did last year?

Last year the idea was presented pretty late, so we only had 4 or 5 people doing it. I think it would be better if we could get a few more people involved this time. Just kinda throwing the idea out there now, so people can think it over.

And if whoever ran this last year, (bukie, I believe) is reading, I'd appreciate you running it again since I'm pretty incompetent.

That was fun to participate in last year. I'd be up for doing it again. Did we ever check to see how accurate we were?
